Well, you're going to mostly get plugs for D6 here. It's a more simple, straightforward system. Not that D20 sourcebooks don't have some good information in them... it's just that the WEG version makes for quicker, more fast-paced and cinematic games. |

The first book you should read is the Rulebook. I'll recommend the "Second Editions Revised & Expanded" Rulebook. In there you'll find straight up all you need to know concerning character sheets, the gaming system, and all that. All your REALLY need is that book, all the rest is accessories to enhance and expand your game. _________________ "He's Gry Sarth, of course he has the stats for them." |

On e-mule you can find pretty much all the books in PDF format, which is a whole lot better. _________________ "He's Gry Sarth, of course he has the stats for them." |

Yes, I'm serious. It might take a good while for you to gather them all in e-mule, but a scanned PDF is lots better than a text only DOC. _________________ "He's Gry Sarth, of course he has the stats for them." |

There is no link. You use a program like eMule (which you can download for free, use Google to find it), and then you search on there to find the documents you want. _________________ Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid. |

D6 Star Wars is pretty easy to learn, and I dare say WEG produced a lot more material. Of course they had the liscence a lot longer before bankruptcy forced them to give it up . But then the only movies to come out while they had the liscence were the Special Editions of the OT, and they really didn't give WEG very much in the way of new movie material to cover that they hadn't already covered in earlier books on the OT. However, they did get to play with the EU novels and comics in addition to creating a lot of original material.
Anyways, putting that aside, things in D6 are pretty easy to learn. Whereas in D20 you might have something like Jedi guardian 5/Jedi weapon master 7/Jedi Master 7 for a characters type and level, in D6 you'd just put down their type because the character doesn't have any levels. Rather, D6 characters become more proficent in their skills so you basically have how well trained someone is in a particular skill, the more dice in that skill, the more likely they are to succed at it. Of course you set the difficulty for what their attempting.
You can be a simple smuggler, but train so heavily in computer programming/repair after the start of an adventure that your ability as a slicer rivals your ability to fly a light freighter. _________________ FLUFFY for President!!!!
