Star Wars-Star Runner Chronicles- the Miss-Adventures of Tala Wei & Doran Sarl.

As a side activity for when all our normal group can't get to gether our GM is runing a side campain to the main one, in two characters we naild four of the six Starwars Archtypes, if the third orignaly pland player was avalible we could have gone for the Cleen Sweep

the Characters that made it are Tala Wei and Doran Sarl and please note that both players are runing Gender Role Reverced Characters, we have a Female Player with a Male Character who's trying to act all Suave and is Subtably hiting on My Female Character (I'm male) who's half Flirting back.


First Act (what our GM calls Adventures) was a modified version of "Money Troubles" the most Meaty of the adventures found in the Blue Cover Main Rule book.

After some Preludes carried out Thursday Night and Friday Afternoon we started on friday night.

Seen One: the Players meet in the Outdoor Cafe of a Up-Scale Hotel (none of this over done Bar stuff hear) an Attractive Young Twi'leki girl (Tala Wei) Identifies her self as Mela Tak and books passage off world on the Star Runner for 500cr with a Human Starship Captian Doran Sarl, after Tala aranges for her things to be delivered to the Ship they begin their walk to the Landing Feild not to far away striking up a pleasent conversasion along the way.

As their walking a Main Thoroughfare a Speader pulls up at the end of the block and three Large (armed) men pile out, one through a Lowed Hailer shouts "Don't Move!", of cause the 100 or so people (including the PC's) on the Street all Dive for cover, two of the Bounty Hunters open fire with their Blaster Rifles at Doran wile a third uses his Jump Pack to move to the other end of the block cuting off that rout of escape. then the "Leader" standing by the Speader tells his remaining Companion to "Grab the Girl!" as he and the guy down the far end keep firing he uses his jet pack to jump next to Tala and grabs her (with 2D+2 he beat 5D+1) Tala in responce (Quite convincingly) Squeals in surprise and Knees him in the "Dangily Bits" (she scores 25 on the hit thanks to wild dice, the BH botches his Defence so she gets a bonous to damage and ends up with enough to Incapacitate), the remaining Bountyhunters keep fireing, Doran sais "Grab his Blaster!" and Tala replys with a pussled look, Doran repeats him self pointing, Tala noods and throws the Bounty Hunters Blaster Rifle to Doran who replies "I ment for you!" now armed with a Blaster Rifle (placing both the remaining the Bounty Hunters inside short range) Doran turns and fires at the one "Behind" him for the first time hiting and scoring a Wound, as the cover protecting him from the Bounty Hunters "Leader" Dicinergrates he shoots the remaining BH Goon again scoring an other Wound, as Doran runs for Fresh Cover he Fires at the Leader and thanks to the "Wild Dice" scores an Incapacitating Wound the Bounty Hunters "Leader" go's flying back in to their Speader before he can get off an other shot. Doran then sais "Now grab his pistol and I'll see you at the Speader." where he was Looting the Weapons from the Bounty Hunters "Leader", the Characters piled in to the Speader and took off for the Landing Feild.

As they arrive at the Star Runner Doran grabs Tala's Trunks from the Port Office, Tala is standing at the bottom of the Ramp with an arm load of guns and asks "What should I do with thease?" and is told "Take what you want and dump the rest in the Locker in the Lounge" as he headed for the Bridge, no sooner where all Weapons unloaded and stached away (What can I say Tala is'nt a Blaster kind of Gal) Doran sais "Bugger" their is a Flurry of Stuner Bolts.

Seen:2
the Characters awaken in a nicily apointed office Doran in a chair and Tala on a couch a cupple of yards behind him, on the far side of the Desk is a Sullustan Loan Shark dressed like a 70's Pimp (less the hat)

he biguins" Aha! your awake, but your not Captian Jessik, are you? so just who are you any why and where is Captian Jessik?"
Dorlan Replys " I'm Sarl, you could say Captian Sarl, and I won the Star Runner from Jessik last night in a Sabacc game"
SLS "well then I suspose you've also won his debts as well and they are quite substanchial, We'll just take the ship, and see Mr Jessik about the rest."
Dorlan "Can't we just cut a deal? how much did Jessik owe anyway?"
SLS "all told, just short of 90,000, even though he was just about good again he had bean in areers for some time, with his personal lone and what he Browed against the ship"
Dorlan "You said personal loan and a lone against the ship? I don't see how I can be held to his personal loan But I'm willing to take over whats owing on the ship, how much is that?" (Failing a Bargan Roll)
SLS "Including Areers and the payment due, 34,000, if you can pay that hear and now you can walkout free and clear!"
Dorlan "I don't have it on me but can't we deal? I have a line on a whole bunch of Cargo that needs haling, I could clear 10, 15 grand by the end of the month, and an other 5-10 every month after that, I'll sweeten the pot by introducing you to my contact? hell I've got a Fair siting right behind me!"

The Sullustan Loan Shark biguins to Chortal as dose the Rodian on the couch next to Tala and the Gamorrean in the corner.

SLS "Nice idear, but you see my ptofits are down this month, and even if I took your deal I'd miss my target and that wouldn't make me look to good in frount of Jabba, so after you sigin the ship over to us we'll just beat the name of your contact out of you, as for your Fair we'll just shoot her hear and now." the Chortaling continues as Tala feals a Blaster in her side.

It's hear where I say (I actualy said it) "Bugger this for a Game of Soldgers!" and Tala thinks it, so she dose this Akido parry kind of thing to get the gun out of her side as she gets up, I make the Roll but score a Complication, so the GM has the Blaster go off and hit the Sullustan Loan Shark in the Chest (It's hear we find out that it's a Heavy Blaster Pidtol) scoring a mortal wound before the Rodian drops it, every one except Tala fails their surprise rolls, who starts to move for the cover of the desk. next round the Gamorrean starts lumbering over to Tala upending furniture as he go's and the Rodian starts to fumble around for his Gun, Doran dives over the desk grabing his blaster along the way. next round the Gamorrean is trying to grab Tala but misses, Doran blasts the Rodian with a Stun bolt as he picks up the his gun, now since Tala is going last the GM asks "what is Tala going to do?" not thinking I say "Some kind of Akido Flip and most probaly Defenestrate him!" (Yes we do use words like Defenestrate), I miss the roll by two so I Burn a CP scoring a "5" and the Gamorrean goes sailing out the Window and falls three stories on to a Speeder parked in the Street Below (tip if you ever say anything like "I Defenestrate him!" and the roll is good enough don't be surprised when the GM has it happen)
Tala sais "Cover the Door!" as she kicks out some more Glass and starts tairing down the Curtains.
Doran replies "What are you doing?"
to which Tala sais "Geting us the hell out of hear!" as she fashions a crude rope and ties it around one of the Desks legs Doran Blasts (mostily missing) any of the Thugs who pokes their head in over the next few rounds, as their half way down the outside of the building a Stun grenade go's off in the room they just left, when we hit the ground we hear the twisting of Metal and snaping of Carbon Fiber as the Gamorrean rip's it's way out of the Speader it recked landing on it Tala sais "Gamorrean!" and Doran Blasts it wit ha Stun bolt.

By this time both us players and the GM are Giggling like Deranged Lunatics, so so are our Characters as we Scarper down the Street and hop a cab to the Landing Feild. and thats where we broke for Dinner so we could regain our composure. and Seen Two ends wit ha Cutaway.

Fade in
the "Heros" are moving through the Space Port back to the Star Runner Doran sais "Don't Know what I'm going to do now? Find some one further up the Food Chain in Jabbas Organization and try to make this right I suspose? I'll Boost as soon as you get your stuf off."
Tala replies "Like Hell, Your taking me to Issagra, so we can talk to the guy that runs things for Jabba in this Sector, bacause like or not for the time beaing atleast where in this together."

When we made it to the Star Runner Tala made a "Sence Life" roll burning 2 CP (to end up with 15 thanks to Wild Dice) to make sure there where no more Bounty Hunters on the Ship she fed Doran a line about looking for Movment in the Cockpit and Tampering with the entry lock, then after six trys she actvated "Danger Sence" just to be Sure, it was all clear.

Now where alredy burning out at top speed when we take some shots across our Nose and we get Hailed by a Fimiluar Voice (the Leader of the Bounty Hunters that tried for us on the street) telling us to cut our Engines and surender.

Doran said "You know how to work a Laser Turrent?"
Tala replied "No" as we got a other warning shot, I looked down at my sheet to see a Mech of 2D+1, and continued "But I guess I could Figure it out quick enough" as she ran from the Bidge.

Quick rundown on the Space Battle Doran flew flat out after seting the sheilds to cover our but, the BH's Ship failed their Sheilds roll (it was the Guy with two wounds runing it for them) we taged them with our first shot but only got an Ionization result although they taged us back it did no Damage, next round we hit them again and without any Sheilds (Just) scored minor Damage taking out their Weapons and on the Third a Hevy Damage Rusult to their Engines before their Sheilds came back up and we where away.

After we Jumped to Hyperspace
Tala "I'm a mess, were can I get Cleend up?"
Doran Replied "Just pick a cabin and the Fressher is over their!"

Fade to the next shot

Tala has come out of the Fressher (Bathroom) in a Full Length Sleavless Silk Robe/Gown type thing that opened at the belly button over a Camisole Half Top and a pair of loose Silk Knee Shorts and High Healed Slippers (Yes I know allmost all Wemen don't casualy dress like this, but hey it's a Game, and as the Ladies I Game with say "Darn You sure know how to Dress a Girl!") sits on a couch in the Ships Lounge and as she ocashionaly sips a drink supplied by Doran starts applying Lotion to the Skin, at times showing off just how Limber she is (Yes if this was a Movie or TV this would be pure "Fan Service" to acompany the Dialog), as Doran and she chat.

Doran "So how do you know about Jabbas man on Issagra?"
Tala (me BS-ing to cover the Info the GM fed me when I made a Streetwise roll) "Well I'm a Confidential Courier, from time to time I work both sides of the fence, so it pays to know, and besides I used to be a Showgirl and if their is one thing Wiseguys like to do it's hang out at Clubs and Casinos dating Showgirls, even, no scratch that Espechily the Married ones and they talk in frount of and to their Women, and we'd swap stories back stage, We Know things."

The rest was Character stuff not pertinent to the Adventure.

I had Seen 4 all typed out, it was long and detaild but a local Brown-out killed it, and I can't rember everything, surfice to say We went to Issagra, Payed off Jabbas Sector Boss and moved on to the next adventure.

Their was Cool Gangsters, Intersting Ailens, some Fab Frocks and a small Pyramid of Cash.

If I can Reconstruct it I'll replace this post with Seen 4.

But I'll most probaly move on to Act 2 "The Guns of Issagra" that was played Saturday

We Played our Main Campain on Sunday and Monday (Show Holiday), but Tomorrow some of us have an other "Show Holiday" so its on to Act Three of "the Star Runner Chronicles- the Miss-Adventures of Tala Wei & Doran Sarl."

Act 2 "The Guns of Issagra"

Seen 1: Doran meets up with an old Crew Mate they get in to a "I'll show you minr if you show me Yours" over their ships, the crew mate has brought an old Junker Ghtroc 720 for a Song (didn't even have to go to a Loan Shark) and has a bunch of OEM Up-Grade parts on order. Unfortnaly the Ship had more problems then he expected, Including a Dud Power Plant, he has fixed the most pressing problems, Burning through his cash, unfortnaly the only replacment power plant he can find dosen't have the output to support all the toys he has on order and he can't afford any way. He has a Payment on his parts order due and some more repairs that need doing unfortnaly he can't do both. the Freind dosen't want to lose all the cash alredy down on the Parts if he misses a payment (due in just under two weeks), so he Cuts a Deal with Doran to take Cash and Trade on parts from the Star Runner Crediting the Parts at half their New value (better than the 25% Salvage value offerd by most shipyards) for the OEM Up-Grade parts and He'll even do the Instliasion for free. Unfortnaly Doran has only 2000cr and some Pocket Change and at the end of the month he Owes his Loan Shark 2000cr, the Freind has on-hand a Heavy Laser Canon Ready to go now, Doran asks for a few days to think about it.

That night After bean told "They woun't let you in dressed like that!" by Tala, Doran sits in a Rented Speader with a Boot (trunk to our American Freinds) full of Blasters (ok only the 4 lifited of the Bounty Hunters in Act 1). Meanwile Tala is inside a Classy Nightclub siping "Champaine Cocktails" (infact golden lemonade) waiting for a contact made in seen 4 of the last Act to show up. when they showed up their was a bout of Witty Repartee (taking eight attempts and a CP to set up a "Receptive Telephay" link to look for the Screw over), Tala and the Gun Dealer duck out the back in to the ally where Doran Waits. the Gun Dealer calls in his man and a deal is made. since where selling on a world where their is tough Gun Laws (anything that goes Zap! is rated X) we score list price and make a deal to smuggle in some Power Packs from a near buy world that produces them. the Gun Dealer offers to hook us up with a Guy working at the Factory who will sell to us well above Wholesale and the Gun Dealer will buy them off us for Retail (he will then be able to sell them for twice as much) when we bring them back.

After arainging a Ligitmate Cargo for the Trip to where the Powerpacks are Doean Calls his Freind and sais yes to the offer on the Laser Canon.

Act 2 "The Guns of Issagra"

Seen 2: After ariving on-world and Buying the (300) Power Packs, the characters then set about looking for a Ligitmate Cargo, Finding none, Doran ended up burning all the Free Cash he had left over from his Black Marcket buy in Kick Backs to Freight Agents, then their was the Battle Against the "Killer Red Tape Droids", by the time we finily made it to Orbit we had a Run in with Coustoms and Interdiction (turns out Captian Jessik was knowen as a Shady Character and the C&I guys have bean Watching Star Runner), after a replay of the "Spanish Inqusision" onbord Star Runner we where free to go with a "We'll Be Watching You!" warning.

Seen 3: Mostaly RP stuff and foreshadowing of the next Act.
