Most of my players played "near-humans" so far. They didn't want to make funny voices, play smelly lizards or see only movement, but they wanted some alien chic like lowlight vision, slit eyes and grey skin. In the group I have right now, there is one near-human, a human cyborg and a Teltior.

I personally love Rodians. I'm quite good at imitating rodian speech and voices. Hutts make great NPCs. Ongree - they just crack me up. I love Twi'leks, too - I have quite a few NPCs from that species.
