I tried to get on the site (even the main rancor pit part) twice yesterday, but neither time, did it go through... what was up?

I got a database error message in the last couple of days as well, intermittently.

It may be routine maintenance. I get it every once in a while too.

The blackouts, not routine maintenance...though I could use a tune up!

Indeed, once in a while the RancorPit goes out for a short period of time. Nothing to worry about.

I suspect intermittent Rebel jamming. Next time I recommend we coordinate to find the source of their transmissions. 8)
