I'm curious if anyone has expanded upon or extensively used the various planetary defense items in the game? There are of course planetary shields and the proven KDY-150 shown in ESB, but what about the rest?
I found a nice list in the Hideouts & Strongholds book and am especially intrigued by the planet defender turbolaser (15D capital). I'm thinking one shot stands a decent chance of holing an ISD. Anyone use this or other types of defense?
While we're on the subject, what about orbital bombardment or TIE bomber / Scimitar strikes? Anyone get much usage from those?

One module i am worknig on has the pcs trying to find out how the imperials are dropping the defenses at rebel bases prior to them being decimated. And must now (with that learned info) try to find their next target and stop it happening there. If they fail, the bombers do a sweep over the target dropping proton bombs, then land the troops...
