Okay, I know that we're working on the Starships R&E, I'm working on the Force Powers R&E, we've got EIII, EI, and GG 13. but I thought I would put this out there. Someone made a really nice d20 GM screen.

I wonder if it would be useful to do a fan-made one for D6? I know there's already a GM screen for the R&E, but one that could be freely distributed wouldn't be a bad thing, IMO.

Of course, it's an idea we'd have to put on the shelf for later, but other than that, what do you think?

Except for this guys diluted view of the value of the d20 system for star wars, he created a wonderful GM screen. 8)

That's not a bad idea. The only thing is that I find the RE screen to be spot on perfect. So a fan-made version would be pretty much just a rehash of the same thing....

The only trouble being that getting hold of the original GM screen is nign on impossible. That was one of the reasons why the PDF thread was started and so popular.

I don't think that creating a fan made screen would be stepping on toes legally speaking, as long as it was our own creation. I think it's a good idea, at least we could distribute it.

Hehe, sounds to me more like a loophole. We make our own GM screen, basically a copy of the RE screen but redone and with different pictures, just so we can freely share it.

I don't know, if you want the Screen and can't buy it, there are still places on the net where you can find the pdf of it. I'd only be game to work on a fan-made one if it was original enough to be it's own thing.

I highly recommend tracking it down. I had the pdf of it, but printing it out wasn't cutting it for me. I found a copy on eBay relatively cheap, it's worth buying the hardcopy.

Heh, heh. Hay von lets rewrite the R&E core rule book so we can distribute it on PDF while were at it. (jk loc)

Well, it's only a legal loophole if you've seen the R&E GM screen and are basing your ideas off of it. Personally, I've never seen it. If others who are equally ignorant are designing it, then the similarities will be coincidental.

Unfortunately, I don't have much of an eye for design, and the main program that I would have to it in would be Word. That's not going to be good.

Alternatively, we could make it for D6 Space using some more generic Sci-fi'ish photos. I could poke around at the WEG forums and see if that would provoke any trouble. If so, then we could just abandon the idea.

Well, making it for D6 Space would probably be more "harmful" than doing it for D6 Star Wars, since D6 Space is a system that's "alive" and Star Wars isn't.

Yeah, I just checked. It looks like they've already got a GM screen. I thought they hadn't. Oh well.
