I like having a powerful character as long as the GM can keep it interesting. My MOG has done a good job of this with Ragnar. Even though I continue to become more skilled I am still challenged... mostly for my own survival, but still challenged. 8) |

While my characters are all diffinately skilled, there is still the problem that very few of my weapons are strong enough to take out something like and esmoonian or a giant monster. My GM likes to do that to my characters. _________________ 'God gave you grace to purge this place

No where does it say that Stormtroopers have to be the base skill level. I have seen a few veteran squads and have made my own. As MOG, just advance the Stormtroopers to the skill level of the players and you can keep the game challenging. You can show that the Empire is taking the players actions more seriously by throwing more experience troops at them. _________________ "I don't know about angels, but it's fear that gives men wings." -Max Payne

Yes very few weapons are powerful enough to take out an Esoomian
However my GM keeps threatening a continental Star destroyer strike to take me out if I got out of control |

lol! That sounds unpleasant! For a long time there was a Victory class Star Destroyer that our rebel grop had to deal with, but we took care of it without taking any casualties (fiered a couple capital ships staight at it ). _________________ 'God gave you grace to purge this place

if power weapons are what you are looking for, then start with a heavy blaster pistol of your choice, and start modifying it to its max. if you use the T6 Thunderer then you can potentially have an 8D or 8D+1 weapon when it is a maximum. If there is a normal species that you can't kill with that then you shouldn't be trying to kill it. |

Those blasters could cause the expenditure of character points... or a quick trip to Mr armourer to get some armour resized to fit an Esoomian |

I once had an Esoomian character that had a custom suit of Coynite Battle Armor. It cost an arm and a leg, but 9D to resist all damage was well worth the credits. _________________ "Mind what you have learned. Save you it can." --Yoda

I only played him once or twice, so I never really got into the character much at all. _________________ "Mind what you have learned. Save you it can." --Yoda

as far as not having powerfull enough stormtroopers, in i belive its Last Command sourcebook there are some imperial secret agents a solo agent and a team agent. i find that a group of solo agents makes a pretty good squad of storm troopers. i mean after all there were clone vats.... |
