How long would it take to modify a lightsaber, and how difficult should it be? Would it require a quest for new crystals and formulae? |

It depends on what modification you want to make. By simply making it stronger, you actually don't have to get a brand new one.
If you have a higher lightsaber construction skill, you can take it apart, and than basically re-roll the creation of it to put it back togethor better. It's a good way to squeeze an extra die or two of strength into it.
Now, if you want to add something to your lightsaber, not just simply complete a higher difficulty roll for a better one, than yes you need new parts.
Give me more specifics of what you want, I can give more specific rules. Chabit has a whole manual on D6 lightsaber construction rules. It's paper, not .pdf, I dunno if he'll type the whole thing out. But I will. I can even find it online. When I am not lazy. _________________ My backpack has jets!

Hey, let us know when that complete lightsaber construction rules thing is set for PDF. I definitely want a copy!
But Boomer is correct; for simply upping the damage a couple pips, you just tinker with it. For changing from a single-phase to a dual-phase, you have to add parts. If you're going from a fixed blade to a fully-adjustable blade, for instance, you're going to have to add more crystals as well as controls for changing the amplitude and frequency of the blade itself. Note that a blade that changes like that doesn't change the damage, just the size of the blade. |

I'm in a couple of Jedi-heavy games, but haven't experienced a huge slowdown yet... besides that naturally incurred on a play by post game, that is. |

Hey there guys. My "Young Jedi"-template character has gone through lots of adventures and has received his lightsaber not so long ago... is getting used to it with 5D lightsaber skill.
Right now, he has like 4D lightsaber repair skill and I really want him to mess around with his lightsaber. I mean... tinker and improve stuff
May I have some resources please?
Thanks

You want resources? Go here. This is a great set of rules covering many different aspects of the lightsaber, from combat to construction to additions. Definitely worth the look-up. |
