One of my characters asked me if there was a way he could get extra skill or atribute in his starting character. I told him that I would let him get an extra skiil die or atribute pip if he gave himself an automatic drawback (like a dark side point, or a religious requirement). My favorite of such requirements is being a drunk, the rules are as follows.
Two times every day, an alchoholic is required to make a difficult willpower check, or is forced to consume two cups of alchoholic beverage (This includes vanilla extract), after the first two glasses, the character must make another check of one less difficulty or consume one more glass etc. After the player has over six cups in one day, they become drunk and get minus 1D to all actions or checks, every two glasses after that they get minus another D. Once drunk, the character must roll one die, if it is a 1: They are deppresses
2/3: Yaking
4/5: Out of it but happy
6: Violent to all characters, and unpredictable
If the character has no means of getting any alchoholthey get minus 1D to all actions, and minus an extra D for every half a day they do not. If they do reach alchohol after all of the time, they must consume one half of the amount of alchohol required after the normal amount of time. (example: if a character does not drink for 3 1/2 days, and missed the first check, when they reach beer they must drink 4 glasses of alchohol, then make a moderate willpower check so on so forth).
If the character wants to stop drinking, they must resist their urges for two standerd weeks (ten days). _________________ 'God gave you grace to purge this place

Cool, one of the players in my group is an alcoholic Wookie, perhaps it's time to kick his addiction up a notch with these rules. |

the alcoholic beverages section all about the pink lizard thunderbolt
although the reactor core(meltdown) or whatever is pretty cool _________________ "For over a thousand generations, the Jedi Knights were the guardians of peace and justice in the Old Republic. Before the dark times... before the Empire. "

Yup, that pic is in Fragments from the Rim. The Tatooine Sunburn was always our GM's favorite. _________________ "Mind what you have learned. Save you it can." --Yoda

My GM has his own drink that our group has come to loathe and worry about...
WUUK!!! Wookish Moonshine. This stuff is potent, and any non-Wookiee is required to sign a waver before the barkeep can pull it out of the HazMat container. (Not really, but close enough, PCs *CAN* die from drinking it!).
Hmmmmmmm... Methinks we'll have to come up with a list and stats of the various brews of the Star Wars Universe...
Lomin Ale and Lum are two beers that I know about... An "Wheyer's Reserve" (SP?) is a fine Whiskey from Corellia (And, I think, illegal out of the Corellian system, kind of like Bushmills 12-Year Old IRL.).
Oh... And I just had an evil idea... Trying to get a Wookiee into an AA meeting...
"*WRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!*" "Ummm... Master Oobacca states that he'll tell you when he's had enough, and politely requests that you refill his glass... Before this bar recieves the need for some extensive repairs." "I thought droids were supposted to pretty up language..." "That was prettied up..." "Refilling glass now."
Ray.
PS: Oobacca is the former Galactic Fighting Champion... He was beated by a Barabel and a "Jawa" (Actually a Noghri in disguise)... He's kind of fallen on hard times... |

None of those have anything on Dr. J's Death Juice...
it's given as a secret right of passage for mercenaries in the starwars universe, but it is based on a substance I had the privilage of making myself... _________________ "For over a thousand generations, the Jedi Knights were the guardians of peace and justice in the Old Republic. Dr. J's Death Juice is practically poison.
Strong enough to incapacitate and weak enough not to kill you. |

well... the real stuff could probably kill you, it's a mix of a bunch of household things we found laying around the house. we made it to mess with the people who had gotten trashed, it was only designed to taste really bad. I'll list up the ingredients later _________________ "For over a thousand generations, the Jedi Knights were the guardians of peace and justice in the Old Republic. Yuk, just thinking about it makes me sick.
That stuff was a very funny tool durings resting periods for my player's characters. They would always remember how they survived The Death Juice. _________________ "I don't know about angels, but it's fear that gives men wings." -Max Payne
