Rebel Uprisings - Episode II, Dreams of Liberty

The darkness that has enshrouded the galaxy is spreading evenly and swiftly. Already, the Emperor’s reach has extended to the Colonies and Inner Rim with permanent outposts at every major star system. Garrisons of troops have been emplaced on all worlds that are or could possibly be considered hotbeds of dissention.

With this expansion of the Empire come accusations of treason and disloyalty, and the hunting down of those accused. Many Senators previously opposed to the Emperor’s rise to power have been arrested and taken in for questioning. Those that have slipped through the fingers of Palpatine’s icy reach have found themselves on the run, seeking refuge wherever there is sympathy, only to be hunted down and captured, never to be heard from again.

Somewhere, at the far reaches of the Outer Rim territories, a small fleet drifts through the void. Where these ships have passed, Imperial garrisons and picket forces have been left in smoldering heaps, or at the least, utter chaos. The Commander, Garm Bel Iblis, sees a massive struggle before this band of rag tag rebels. A struggle that could end in liberation from the Emperor’s tyranny, or in the bloodshed of a thousand thousand worlds…

Garm Bel Iblis paces to and fro before the large viewscreen of his ready room. He stops at his desk and nods to himself as if coming to a decision that has been playing on his mind for some time.

He sits and initiates the com station at his desk and sends a hail to the Captain of the light freighter, Du Cass' Dream. He awaits the response with as much patience as he can muster.

Captain, I would appreciate it if you could join me in my ready room aboard the Peregrine. There's an empty berth in docking bay two. I've got some upgrades to be installed in your ship. I'd also like to speak to you about another mission.
