|
I wrote this shortly after I heard that Smith & Wesson put out their Model 500, which, according to the write-up on it, has better than 3 times the muzzle energy of a .44 magnum of the same barrel length. So... The ZH-500 was made. Mainly to taunt the Blaster Bunny in my group, as we're nowhere near the time where this is released... 'Course, the GM might let him get his hands on a prototype that doesn't have all the bugs out yet... Or has a tendency to blow up on occasion.
BlasTech ZH-500:
Perfected and put into production a mere four months before the Yuuzhan Vong invasion (~25 years after ANH), the ZH-500 furthur cemented BlasTech as "King Of The Heavy Blasters"! With TWICE the firepower of the DL-18, and better range than the DL-44, this is THE weapon of choice for the "One-Blast Drop". However, the weapon uses 20 times the blaster gas and energy of the DL-18 (Five times that of the DL-44), and has a set recharge time to allow for cooling, it does have a problem when "Dealing with large groups of animals that you are hunting" as the BlasTech Holosite puts it for this "Legitimate Hunting Weapon".
BlasTech does not endorse using this weapon on Sentient Beings.
Model: BlasTech ZH-500
Type: Heavy Blaster Pistol (VERY Heavy!)
Skill: Blasters: ZH-500
Ammo: 5
Cost: 1,000 (Power Pack: 25)
Availability: 2, F or R
Fire Rate: 1
Range: 3-10/30/60
Damage: 8D |

All the stuff I've posted is officially mine, out of my own sick little head.
But it's certainly adjusted... Consider how much it costs to fire EACH SHOT. Get's 'spensive, no???

Not That expensive, I once w=saw a character who modified his blaster, to fire only 1 shot per pack because he focused all the lasers into one bolt, he did 11D damage per shot! _________________ 'God gave you grace to purge this place

I'd better hope and pray that Oota's player doesn't find out how to figure that one out...
He's bad enough with his tricked out Thunderers!!!
'Course... He's just as happy shooting Rock Boring Bits from his Verti-Go Line Thrower...
But a new toy like that... OUCH!!!
And here I thought that 8D was bad enough!!! |

when ever my players modify there blasters(which they've done to almost everyone they have in there armoury) *grumble* i always drop the ammo/pack down by the ##% listed in the book and round up it works usually to about a 10% loss so then they have to do more mods to compensate to make it last longer I E i get more of there credits back out into circulation. _________________ Sabbac anyone? |

Always a good idea, Volo.
'Course, I have yet to see one of my group ever run out of ammo...
Mainly because we've always got at least one back-up plan ready that involves a manner of killing many creatures at once...
Often with high explosives... Or Instant Potatos. |
