I would like to start a PbP game on the Rancor Pit forums, so post if interested. If anyone would like to GM, that would be great, then you can decide the plot, I don't have the imagination to invent one.

Well I could do it, but I'm not familar with PbP games. I would have several questions that would have to be answered first. I already have a storyline I would like to use.

Well, let me start out with a simple one first.

1) Are dice/rolling used in a PbP game? If so, how? If not, what is used for success and failure?

In all the PbP games I have played in, the GM has rolled all the dice for the players, if you don't like this system, you can change it for this game. For dice you may use real dice or an online dice roller like Rancor Pit's or http://www.irony.com/igroll.html . I'm not sure what you mean about sucess and failure, you could check out the PbP games already on Rancor Pit.

Yes, in Jamfke's Rebel Uprisings PbP, the GM makes all the rolls. He has all the character sheets and we just have to say, like "I'll try to jump over the gap and tackle the rodian". He'll roll for us and tell us the outcome. We can also say if we wan't to spend one or two character points to ensure success.

I'd be interested in trying out PbP. I've never done it before but it looks like it would be fun. And I'm all for the GM making all the rolls, seems to me like it makes more sense when doing PbP.

Well that solves the most important question I had. (by the way the part about success & failure was about roll results.) Give me a day or two to get my notes together (ie., all in one spot-haha), and I'll be game to ref.
