Yes, we will keep the SW d6 alive. We are trained in CPR & we can steal medical equipment from the d20 stuff too.

Hi out there,

Just wanted to thank you all for keeping d6 Star Wars quite alive. Though I had played D&D before, good old Star Wars was the first RPG I bought. It is also the one I played the most, so I'm glad that thanks to this site new gamers can get to know this (regretably) discontinued RPG line.

At school, I had lots of time to game (sadly this is not now the case), and I remember having GMed a wide array of campaigns, from regular Rebel stuff to a campaign where players were Imperials crushing that pitiful Rebellion and one in the Tales of the Jedi timeline where two players ended up joining the Sith (perhaps if I ever get to resume that campaign I can do it with them as master and apprentice, hmmm). But I disgress...

Anyway, thanks a lot, people, the force is strong with this site 8)

Perhaps the only good thing to come of WEG not holding the license anymore is that they don't seem to have a problem with our PDF thread. That thread (and the new RancorFiles) have been a Godsend! Now there's no reason (short of not having a computer) that any GM can't have ANY WEG book (or WEG-style fanbook) they want or need!

Hello all, I'm new on the forum even though I'm afraid I officially qualify as an "old gamer". I played Star Wars several years ago, and just picked up a bunch of books second hand for a few dollars. Now I'm thinking of running a little campaign for old times' sake. I'm delighted to have found this site (not that it was difficult, as it is the first to pop on Google when cueing "Star Wars" and "West End Games"...) Wink

Well howdie Anenome. We are glad your here at the Pit. As Skyler would say, your never to old (or is that a state of mind...... ). Well Skyler will tell you.

Just make yourself at home here (PS. thats what I did).

I think there is a lot of ideas and materials here that are just great. Just like Volar the healer's Empire Invades Earth PDF.

Actually, BOTH would apply, in MY opinion... 8)

Thank you much. 8) I'm gathering background info because, inspired by the wonderful mini-movie "IMPS - The Relentless", I've been wanting to run a short campaign from the point of view of Imperial stormtroopers who aren't bad guys, just cops/soldiers trying to do their job. Naturally, it would also have a humourous tone, but not strictly so. Something between "NYPD Blues", "Star Wars", and "Red Vs. Blue"... Very Happy Anyway, I'm finally getting my act together.

My question is to all you, has anyone devised stats for the prequels, ships, equip and characters?

Cheers,

Hey Toalonin,
A couple of guys are working on those as we speak. and in the PDF sharing thread (or some where around there) there are Gry Sarths stats books. They have everything converted to d6 so you might get lucky there.

And if you're looking for sourcebooks and stuff, look no further than here. Several of our members have worked their backsides off to get all this material in a downloadable format for the rest of us, and now have it all in one place for easy access. Take a look around; you'll feel like a kid in a candy store!
