I've got what is most likely a fan-made (though extremely cool) XJ X-Wing picture in Starships Stats. I believe the XJ3 is almost identical to the XJ. _________________ "He's Gry Sarth, of course he has the stats for them." |

Yeah, I saw the pic in Gry's book. That's a really sweet upgrade to the X-wing fighter. It's a lot more sleek looking. |

Just managed to track down the original site, where the pics are from.
This is definately the design I'm going with for this ship.

What's the difference between this and the old x-wing? That pic just looks like an x-wing to me. _________________ "I take orders from just one person: Me!"

The main difference is on the engines. In the T-65 X-Wing both the intake and the exhaust are simple cylinders. In this X-Wing, the intake is squarish with an aerodynamic shape, and the exhaust is is more conical. There are some other subtle differences, but overall the craft looks sleeker. _________________ "He's Gry Sarth, of course he has the stats for them." |

Most of the mods done to make an XJ different from an X-Wing are "Under the hood". The engines and additional launcher are just the ones that are easiest to spot on the outside. |

Ray is correct. The biggest changes are those that will be noticed in-flight. The craft is much more powerful than the original design, and with an extra proton torp launcher (plus an additional 3 missles to the payload) it will stand up much better in combat.
Plus, it just looks prettier! |
