|
|
Howdy Y'all,
I'm new here, so if this has already been addressed, I apologize. Has anyone developed D6 stats for Republic Clone Troopers? Or the ARC Troopers from the Clone Wars cartoon? If you know where I might some stats for these, I would appreciate the help.
Personally, I'm more of a Episode 4-6 kind of guy. However, I really enjoyed the Clone Wars cartoon.
Thanks,
Shag Matthews |

Welcome, ARC.
As for the info you are looking for, I don't recall anyone having stats for those characters. Perhaps you should base the Clones off of Stormtroopers (they were clones of a worthy bounty hunter after all, and had excellent training/programming).
Also, the "Search" feature works well. |

I had a ARC Trooper character in my campaign, and I simply used the Bounty Hunter-template. 8) _________________ There is no emotion; there is peace.

I wasn't satisfied with the Clone Trooper stats I found in the previous link. I thought the stats should be based more on the bounty hunter template since they are clones of one. I subtracted 6D from attributes to reflect them being NPCs and added the same skill dice that stormtroopers have. I want to know what you guys think. Keep in mind this is the lowest level of Clone Trooper.
Clone Trooper
Dexterity 3D
Blaster 5D, Brawling Parry 5D, Dodge 5D
Knowledge 1D+2
Mechanical 1D+2
Perception 2D
Strength 2D+2
Brawling 3D+2
Technical 1D
Character Points: Varies, typically 0-5
Move: 10
Equipment: Clonetrooper armor (+2D physical, +1D energy, -1D Dexterity and related skills), blaster rifle (5D), blaster pistol (4D) |

I just don't get why they have sub-human attributes? Shouldn't the minimum be 2D? _________________ "He's Gry Sarth, of course he has the stats for them." |

Yeah! Why? Are these clones sub-human beings? _________________ There's no such a thing as the Force's own will. You are it's will. Use it, to impose your will upon reality. Master it, and you shall master the universe. May the Force serve you well. |

2D is the average attribute for humans. Remember that your average NPC human will have 12 attribute dice. If this is split equally among the attributes everything will have 2D. Now when we make our player characters they are supposed to be herioc so we give them an additional 6D for attributes. Attributes below 2D are below the human average but just remember that these are NPCs. If you look at the stats for Rebel SpecForces in the Rebel Alliance Sourcebook many of them have similar attributes. |

AAAGGGHH!! You're right!
Those SpecForce units have attributes as low as 1D !! This is really weird... The human species minimum is stated to be 2D, that's what the rules say. I'm really confused............. _________________ "He's Gry Sarth, of course he has the stats for them." |

I'm really confused............. | I think they mean that for heroic characters the minimum is 2D. A heroic character's attributes should never be below the species average attribute. A 1D attribute can still get the job done...you are rolling THE wild die.
The ARC is definitely a heroic character. I used the bounty hunter template with slightly modified skills of Storm Commandos. This one could require some tweaking...any suggestions?
ARC Trooper
Dexterity 4D
Blaster 7D, brawling parry 5D+2, dodge 5D+2, grenade 5D, melee combat 5D+2, melee parry 5D+2
Knowledge 2D+2
Survival 4D, tactics 5D
Mechanical 2D+2
Beast riding 5D, hover vehicle operation 5D+1, repulsorlift operation 5D
Perception 3D
Command:Clone Troopers 6D+2, search 6D+2, sneak 7D
Strength 3D+2
Brawling 5D
Technical 2D
Armor repair 5D, blaster repair 5D, first aid 4D, demolitions 4D+2, security 3D+2
Force Points: Varies, typically 1-5
Character Points: Varies, typically 5-30
Move: 10
Equipment: ARC armor, blaster rifle (5D), blaster pistol (4D)
Would the stats for Clone commandos be similar enough to use these stats for them as well? If so, we could use these stats to represent the different abilities found in the team:
Assault units: vehicle blasters 5D+2, blaster artillery 4D+2
Saboteur units: hide 8D+2, sneak 9D, streetwise 5D, security 5D+2, demolitions 6D+2
Tech units: repulsorlift operation 6D, repulsorlift repair 4D, droid programming 5D, droid repair 6D, computer programming/repair 6D |

Not a bad overall conversion set. I also believe there are a few sets of conversions in the works in the Fan made PDF thread under Tools. _________________ "There's a set way to gain new Force Points and it represents a very nice system, where you're rewarded for heroism, not for being a poor conductor to electricity." ~Jachra |

Well, I was into the whole Clone thing, and also with half a mind on a Revenge of the Sith sourcebook, so I started researching clones, trying to understand that mess of different helmets and colors and whatnot.
After some searching I came up with the following image, to organize which batallion was stationed where, under which commander and with which troopers.
Enjoy, post comments:

Nice, Gry! Thanks for sharing.
I particularly like the armor for the Kashyyyk unit! |

Nice one Gry, it should be taken a lot of work to gather all this information. _________________ There's no such a thing as the Force's own will. You are it's will. Use it, to impose your will upon reality. Master it, and you shall master the universe. May the Force serve you well. |
