Ahoy...
Trying to set up an online game, but running into the problem of finding an IRC die-roller that supports the wild die...anyone know of one?

There are some dice rollers at the rancorpit site, see if they fit. _________________ There's no such a thing as the Force's own will. You are it's will. Use it, to impose your will upon reality. Master it, and you shall master the universe. May the Force serve you well. |

Nope...I looked into the other similar threads on this forum and the like, as well as on the site...while I found some good die rollers, I didn't find an IRC one.
Too bad that chat thing from a couple of years back never saw fruition. |

Do you remember an IRC script just for playing RPG? I canīt remember his name but he had a dice roller _________________ There's no such a thing as the Force's own will. You are it's will. A few years ago, I created a dice roller for irc. It handles the wild die.
I'm slowly bringing my star wars rpg website back. Check out starwars.tumbyweb.com and click "programs". The dice roller is there. Check it out and let me know how it works for you. It also "sits" on top of irc so when you click on irc to type, the dice roller doesn't go behind the irc window.

I really should talk to Loc again. He did have not only an in-house chat window to use, but also had worked on adding several tools including an in-window dice roller so everyone saw the results. He even had it that depending who logged in as the GameMaster, they would see further GM related tools such as quick phrases like "everyone stop", "roll dice", clear the window, save the log file, etc.
If interested (which I think most of you would be) I will mention to him about pursuing this again. It was usable if I remember, even in its "Beta" form. _________________ Team ORJ |

It would be cool to have some kind of chat client specifically created for Star Wars RPG D6. Handling In-Character and out of character chat, dice rolling, instant looks at character sheets, or rules. Quick look up into a database of some sorts for npc stats or basic vehicle/ship stats.
I loved playing on IRC because you could log your channels you were gaming in, then go back later, edit out Out of character comments and almost flesh out a descriptive adventure to read in your spare time! I'll have to post a few from my old games from years ago. |
