So many questions!
So many so manies!
1) Can a sarkan hold weapons in their tails?
2) Can a non-nohgri learn nohgri martial arts? (I've always played that they can)
3) Does having two melee weapons have the same effect as having two lightsabers?
4) Does stormtrooper armor have any weak spot?
5) Can you call a shot twice, to get a more exact result?
6) What happens if a PC is part of a hive?
7) Are Trandoshan listed in books? (I know that I've fought one once...)
8 ) Don't Wookies and Togorians have martial arts?
9) Does a staff have the same effect as a double blade lightsaber?
10) How can a sith or dark jedi gain Force points?
11) Does going to the dark side take effect at once?
12) Are there rules for being an alchoholic?
13) If you earn a force point by saving someone do you lose a dark side point?
14) What sort of skill is nohgri martial arts? ((S) (A) regular)
15) Why don't I know any of this?? _________________ 'God gave you grace to purge this place

Wow, you weren't kidding!
Urhart the Fallen Angel wrote: | 1) Can a sarkan hold weapons in their tails? |
No, I don't think so. It says that Sarkans can attack with their tails, but it doesn't mention anything about them being prehensile enough to actually grasp anything.
Urhart the Fallen Angel wrote: | 2) Can a non-nohgri learn nohgri martial arts? (I've always played that they can) |
Yes, I assume anyone can be taught the skill. There are also rules for "normal" martial arts in the Rules of Engagement book.
Urhart the Fallen Angel wrote: | 3) Does having two melee weapons have the same effect as having two lightsabers? |
Yes, I think having two of any weapon would be handled the same.
Urhart the Fallen Angel wrote: | 4) Does stormtrooper armor have any weak spot? |
If you wanted to get technical about it, I suppose you could say the gaps between the white armor plating could be considered weak spots. I always just played that stormtrooper armor covered the entire body, just for simplicity sake.
Urhart the Fallen Angel wrote: | 5) Can you call a shot twice, to get a more exact result? |
You can't call a shot twice, but the smaller the target you want to hit, the bigger the penalty for hitting it.
Urhart the Fallen Angel wrote: | 6) What happens if a PC is part of a hive? |
I would say don't allow that.
Urhart the Fallen Angel wrote: | 7) Are Trandoshan listed in books? (I know that I've fought one once...) |
Wow, now that you bring it up, I don't think I've ever seen stats for a Trandoshan in any WEG books... They have the stats for Bossk, but not for Trandoshans in general...
Urhart the Fallen Angel wrote: | 8 ) Don't Wookies and Togorians have martial arts? |
I suppose they could learn martial arts like anyone else. I don't think there are any special martial arts rules for these two species.
Urhart the Fallen Angel wrote: | 9) Does a staff have the same effect as a double blade lightsaber? |
Um, no. Lightsabers have special "energy blades" while I assume most staffs are made out of some sort of wood or metal...
Urhart the Fallen Angel wrote: | 10) How can a sith or dark jedi gain Force points? |
The Star Wars Roleplaying Game Second Edition book says "Dark Side characters only receive Force Points when spending Force Points while committing evil at the dramatically appropriate time - the point is returned at the end of the adventure and they gain another."
Urhart the Fallen Angel wrote: | 11) Does going to the dark side take effect at once? |
Yes, I think so. If you gain a Dark Side point and roll such that your character goes to the Dark Side, I think it happens immediately.
Urhart the Fallen Angel wrote: | 12) Are there rules for being an alchoholic? |
Um, no, not that I know of... I suppose you could always create a house rule if you really felt the need...
Urhart the Fallen Angel wrote: | 13) If you earn a force point by saving someone do you lose a dark side point? |
No. The Star Wars Roleplaying Game Second Edition book says that "a character must atone for two adventures in order to remove one Dark Side Point". To atone means to "strictly abide by the tenets of the Jedi code". The character must "make a point of being clearly good in all actions".
Urhart the Fallen Angel wrote: | 14) What sort of skill is nohgri martial arts? ((S) (A) regular) |
The Noghri martial arts skill is a specialization of the brawling skill.

Thank you a LOT I had no idea about some of those things!
Also what I meant by Togorian and wookie martial arts is that I remember those species having specific forms of fighting (I seem to remember the wookie brawling as being called Wrooushie (Rooshi), and when a was talking about having a bonus to parries, and minuses to attacks.
Thanks again!! _________________ 'God gave you grace to purge this place

Trandoshans are found in the Special edition: Star Wars Trilogy Sourcebook on page 62. |

Got some more for you brilliant guys.
16) Can a creature with four arms (like an Ebranite) get an extra bonus for attacking with four melee weapons or lightsabers?
17) Is there any actual bouns for attacking with two blasters?
18) Why isn't Grenade under thrown weapons? followup: If you throw a rock, is the skill under grenade? (Grenades are weak!)
19) Is a firearm's damage physical?
20) If an amanin is hit by a deathstar weapon, do they die automaticly, or wre they mortally wounded?
21) Where do I get these ideas? _________________ 'God gave you grace to purge this place

No, I think it would be just like a normal being with two arms attacking with two melee weapons. The normal multiple action penalty would apply.
Urhart the Fallen Angel wrote: | 17) Is there any actual bouns for attacking with two blasters? |
No, actually there is a penalty. If you have a blaster in each hand and fire one shot from each, you suffer the multiple action penalty of -1D.
Urhart the Fallen Angel wrote: | 18 ) Why isn't Grenade under thrown weapons? followup: If you throw a rock, is the skill under grenade? (Grenades are weak!) |
I think grenade is it's own skill because you have to know how grenades work. You have to know how to activate them, you have to know how long the delay is before they explode, you have to know if the grenade explodes on impact or if it just has a time-delay fuse, etc. I never liked the WEG rule that included other objects like rocks and balls under the grenade skill. My rule was the the grenade skill was for grenades and thrown weapons was for anything else that you throw.
Urhart the Fallen Angel wrote: | 19) Is a firearm's damage physical? |
Yes.
Urhart the Fallen Angel wrote: | 20) If an amanin is hit by a deathstar weapon, do they die automaticly, or wre they mortally wounded? |
LOL! Good question! I would say the Amanin would be vaporized, so their Redundant Anatomy would not help them in that case.

I'm afraid to even ask... _________________ "Mind what you have learned. Save you it can." --Yoda

for question 17:
don't you also get an extra penalty for firing with your off hand so it's minus 2D instead of 1. |

Is that an official rule? I don't remember ever seeing it in the books. If it's not, I think it would definitely make sense as a house rule. _________________ "Mind what you have learned. Save you it can." --Yoda

No, it is not an official rule.
Ragnar is thinking of my house rule of the off hand penalty that is only +5 to the difficulty number, not +1D. _________________ "I don't know about angels, but it's fear that gives men wings." -Max Payne

That's what the forums is all about.
I, too, need help sometimes. Lots of things come up in my games that I just don't have the answers to. _________________ "I don't know about angels, but it's fear that gives men wings." -Max Payne
