Two minor issues.
1. The color of the new posts icon is a tan color which provides poor contrast against the gray and white background of the forum. In portrait mode, on a cell phone, spotting new posts is difficult. Perhaps a more contrasting medium blue or green might provide a better cell phone experience.
2. Sticky posts clutter the tops of subforums. An associate GM suggested a single sticky thread with links to all the high priority threads presently in sticky format. Again this is a bigger problem on cell phones in landscape mode when you have to scroll past sticky threads to get to a new post.
Food for thought... _________________ Star Wars Deckplans Alliance

This website and the software it runs on was created before the rise of smart phones. I currently am not confident enough in my ability to upgrade the site without losing everything. The site works fine on laptops.
(1.) My eyes/brain/vision have no trouble differentiating the tan/orange icons on the white background, when I view the site on my laptops or my cellphone. You may want to experiment with contrast settings of the devices you use to increase your own visibility.
(2.) See #1. Finding new posts through the View posts since last visit feature (as long as you complete viewing in one logged-in session) is the best way to find new posts. I also have a very large degree of success using the forum's Search function to find things. If not doing it those ways, you just have some extra scrolling, which is a minor inconvenience and not that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things.
Part of the reason sticky posts are there is maximum visibility, so they are not missed. Users creating new threads about those topics and asking questions that are answered there is more "clutter" than organized sticky threads. Combining them all in a single thread would make them much easier to miss.
However I will add further consideration of reducing/reorganizing them as appropriate to my long laundry list of projects. _________________ *
