Hey all! I'm not actually new to the Rancor Pit but my last account was registered well over a decade ago, and that info is long since lost to me.

You can consider me both a Born-Again WEGer and a Discord Exile Smile

Hi all!

Mid 30s, sometime doodler living in the UK. I started playing TTRPGs in 2022 after a lifelong curiosity. When our group's initial WoD superhero campaign wound up we moved on a Star Wars REUP game and I've been having a blast. Along with getting really into Andor it really helped rekindle the flame of Star Wars interest I've nursed ever since taping Empire off the TV as a kid, ad breaks and all.

Browsing around for resources for our game the rancor pit (along with wookieepedia of course Smile ) was one of the sites that kept coming up in web searches, so I thought I'd pop in and nose around the place.

Thanks for having me!

Agree with KageRyu. Lots of good stuff here, as well as helpful folks that are glad to share ideas and thoughts on everything.

Welcome!

Hi folks just joined

Thanks for having me

My old GM passed away about 2 years ago, my group has been playing other games since but I always said to his wife (still part of our group) that I would get Star Wars back up and running for the group and in memory of him (he ran our old SW game)

Decided to go with West end games version because of old childhood memories of playing (I’m 44 now). It was the first proper RPG I played, around 14/15 years old after school with some other Star Wars peoples

But completely new to GM’ing so it’s slightly intimidating

Hoping to learn in here, catch a few story beats and hooks and generally hang out with other proper Star Wars nerds

Hello, found your forums while looking for obscure ship info and was impressed with the quality of the tech and vehicles sections willingness to question official 'canonical' info and dig for or create better stats.

I come from PC gaming mostly of the strategic and tactical side with a side of asymetric and COIN boardgame interest and large dose of hobby game coding that take inspiration from things like Armada and X-win minitures games. My first real love was for the StarWars Rebellion PC game and its decendents in the form of Empires at War and the boardgame of the same name.

Trivia: The PC game was heavily based off of a 1970's Avalon Hill board game called Freedom in the Galaxy which was basically StarWars with the serial-numbr filed off featuring a Buck Rogers/Flash Gordon style of artwork.
