First of all: I'm very sorry. Muy condolences.
Glad to hear that you are coming back in the forum and also enjoying again this game. I'm sure your players will enjoy It too!
Let us know how it goes.
My players are now in the second chapter of Domains of Evil. They are enjoying the game, but hating Trinta.

Yes, my condolences as well.
Glad you're able to jump back into gaming. Be sure to tell us about your game! _________________ Currently Running: Villains & Vigilantes (a 32-year-old campaign with multiple groups) and D6 Star Wars; mostly on hiatus are Adventures in Middle-earth and Delta Green |

Game day...
Making final preparations for restart. Last game was July 2021. Restart would be impossible if the group did not maintain accurate transcripts of our sessions. We spent the second half of 2024 rereading all of them so we are all on the same page. We have a brand new player to SWRPG D6 so a great deal is happening today.
I will report on the game tonight. _________________ Star Wars Deckplans Alliance

New players are given pregenerated characters in my campaign. You want new players to have fun not waste three hours of their lives generating a character when they barely know how the game is played.
In spite of my best efforts, the new player locked up and barely participated. A "wall flower", as I call it. I blame myself. She performed well in the previous campaign with a Genesys System Fantasy RPG. My veteran players ran the game like there wasn't a three and a half year hiatus but they could not get her to contribute. The nomenclature, equipment-driven game, and all the technical aspects were a complete information overload. The Star Wars RPG played at full speed adds the dimension of interplanetary play. A fantasy RPG is conducted on one planet or even one continent.
On the plus side, I ran "Slaver's Chains" written by James Macduff from "Shadis Magazine" number 28. I modified the scenario to give the players more investigative work to unravel the mystery of the slave ring. We are about half way through the scenario. I had the players read cut scenes of events going on in other parts of the galaxy. Overall the first game of this restart was bittersweet. _________________ Star Wars Deckplans Alliance

Trianii Rebel Tech. It was a pre-generated character that I used for tournaments. She was the second player to use it. _________________ Star Wars Deckplans Alliance
