Ever had a player of adnd, ask "IS there any grenade or other method, to do a Stinking cloud like effect in SW"?
IF so, how did YOU handle it?
Yea i know stormies with their full body suits and breath masks in their helmets won't worry about it. BUT they don't always fight JUST stormtroopers!! _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

The simplest way would be to treat it as a Stun effect, with the specific description that the Stun takes the form of varying degrees of nausea, from the point of simple distraction (resulting in a dice penalty) up to complete incapacitation / nausea / compelled to move away to get clear. _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. Would you give certain races, bonuses to resist (like say Given who don't need to breath ,or races with face masks, like the gand)? Or penalties for say ones that breath through their skin (If there's any)? _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

If it were a tear gas type affect - yes.
I would as a GM give modifiers to species that may have masks covering the face and eyes - but I would not write rules about it - just a gm call.
But that is me - I have streamlined most species modifiers - that way players are incentivised more for narrative reasons than stats. _________________ SW Fan, Gamer, Comic, Corporate nerd.

I would treat it as a stun, and "darkenss" as in not seeing. roll vs Stamina to ignore stun. but in the cloud have reduced vision since it is after all tear gas that does more than burn your lungs, it also hiders vision.
it could even give the opponent some degree of "cover" |

Would those 'rendered' stunned (or worse) by the 'stinking cloud) be easier to hit, as if they were helpless?? _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |
