As GMs what if any cross overs du you use?
Also what cross overs would fit within the SW universe?
I am thinking Battletech, the large "walkers" and the like reminds me of elements of star wars that exists.
I would possibly aslo look into Alien or AvP for ome more horror
Then comes Serenity, a very cool universe with ships and enough sci fi to fit quite well. |

I don't use any crossovers directly, but certain elements may be influenced by other franchises, such as Aliens. I try to keep everything feeling very Star Wars. |

I also use elemets of stuff, but actual crossovers.
However I am wondering what cross overs if any fits or "are" part of wider universe.
If we look to alien and avp, then bladerunner is also in that realm making it a lot larger as to what the total world and time eras would include |

I personally would not do crossovers in my official, regular, ongoing campaign. But I think it could be very fun for a con (convention) one-shot. _________________ Currently Running: Villains & Vigilantes (a 32-year-old campaign with multiple groups) and D6 Star Wars; mostly on hiatus are Adventures in Middle-earth and Delta Green |

Personally, I like to keep universes separate. However, I'm not adverse to pulling concepts and toys from other universes, if I can justify them using real world logic. This, however, usually results in disqualifying them from inclusion.
I also use the 'can it exist / does it make sense IRL' method when it comes to worldbuilding. Even though I understand why it exists, I HATE Planet of Hats.
I can be a bit difficult to please. |

i have written and used many crossovers in games ive GM'd. crossover material was also used several times in games i was a pc for several years.
i can fit quite a lot of crossover material into a star wars game without most players realizing it. ive have other players introduce their own crossover materials in other gms games and after one session their anime waifu's fall to the dark side because they forgot that they still have to abide by the rules within the star wars universe.
battletech. ive had a lot of requests to convert it to weg d6 but never got around to it.
did the aliens and predator conversions years ago at the request of one of my players. he likes the yautja.
serenity is an easy one to add to star wars because all of the serenity universe exists within a triple star system.
just keep in mind that whatever you add, it has to abide by the rules agreed upon by both you and the players. _________________ Aim low, shoot high

The most logical crossover is the one that has been used in STAR WARS already, the works of Cosmic Horror written by Howard Philips Lovecraft.
- Alan Dean Foster introduced us to Pomojema (a.k.a. Cthulhu) in "Splinter of the Mind's Eye", as well as other Lovecraftian horrors in the novel.
- Lester Neil "El Neil" Smith introduced us to a ten-ways symmetrical starfish-like droid named Vuffi-Ra in the "Lando Calrissian Adventures". Vuffi resembles the "Elder Things" from "At the Mountains of Madness".
- Alan Moore explored many eldritch evils in his newspaper comic adaptations of STAR WARS.
- Peter Schweighofer inferred to me the Gree Enclave is the location of the Cooroo homeworld. The Gree Enclave is infested with cephalopodan sapients.
In my own campaign I have assumed the three-way war between the Fungi from Yuggoth, the Elder Things, and the Spawn of Cthulhu/Pomojema/Cooroo has spilled over into the STAR WARS Galaxy. This three-way war fought by three ancient races provide some added detail to the unchartered regions of space in my campaign. Some of these gibbous horrors even venture coreward at times. _________________ http://deckplans.00sf.com

If I had to run a crossover adventure for my players, I would choose the Lovecraftian cosmic horror (probably related to a sith artifact or to a unknown planet to wich the playera would arrive after an hyperdrive malfunction in the style of Other Space adventure) or Alien, in the style of Covenant. |

I feel like 2001: A Space Odyssey is a pretty easy crossover and possibly even a direct inspiration for the Dawn of the Jedi.
I'm currently playing with elements from Robin Hood, Neuromancer, and Dune for my Minos Cluster campaign outline. (Which I'll eventually
continue to write out in a way that makes sense outside my own head.) Hopefully not enough of a one-to-one that my players realize, but enough that they feel the themes come through.
Edit: Neuromancer, not Necromancer. Autocorrect got me there but I guess both are technically true.

Well, the pod race from TPM can be considered the SW equivalent of the chariot race from Ben Hur...
...from a certain point of view. |
