Who was strongest in the Force, Leia or Luke?

Who was "naturally" Strongest in the Force of Leia and Luke?

I would say Leia, and maybe by very much.
Leia is more emotially stable than Luke
Leia "remembers" her mother
she is less controlled by attachements, we see this with Han
personality wise as well she is more akin to the jedi.
and more.


If we look as to why the would not Yoda train Leia, well look at what or who Leia was at the time, an aspiring imperial senator, she was around imperials daily, and would be a vary easy target if revealed, either a target of being turned to the dark side, or for execution.

However traning Luke and not Leia was the right choise

Leia definitely seemed to handle her planet being destroyed (and father murdered) fairly well (she was a bit rude to Chewie with her "walking carpet" remark). I can see Leia possibly becoming a great Jedi Master.

But Obi-Wan only gave a few pointers to Luke on the way from Tatooine to Alderaan. Yoda didn't actually decide to start training him until three years later. Leia was no longer an Imperial Senator by that point (the Senate had been disbanded, and Leia and Luke had both been wanted Rebels for three years by that point).

Maybe they thought that her leadership in the Rebellion was important. Or maybe they thought that her witnessing the destruction of her planet would make her more vulnerable to the Dark Side.

In the movies (not the EU) Luke is a Jedi, Leia is a Leader.

Personality wise Leia is far from being a Jedi, she's terse, sarcastic, dismissive, confrontational, arrogant and occasionally compassionate.
She doesn't take Alderaan being destroyed well, she begs them not to do it and is clearly helplessly distraught when then do. When she gets
to Yavin, she knows the Death Star is tracking them there so she says we'll mourn later, pushing aside everyone's sorrow as stopping the
Death Star is more important just then.

These are the traits and actions of a leader

She also tells Luke that he has powers she doesn't understand and could never have, and until she is told that she is Luke's sister in Jedi, any
sensing she part of, is intitiated by Luke.

The mother part, is what happens when you do prequels, it wasn't meant to be 'Padme' as she didn't exist then, it was meant to be her mother
on Alderaan (which may have meant to have been Luke's mother too), she says her mother died when she was very young, not in child-birth,
which is what happens to Padme.

This is one of many reasons that Prequels (in general) are a terrible idea (I do like the movies though)

Disney have been trying hard to make Leia the most important one, I'm not sure why as everything they have done with her (except Rogue
One I guess) has only denigrated her character, but the OT movies cleary tell that she isn't. She one of the heroes of the Galaxy, a possible
future Jedi and is probably the most important Rebel leader

But Luke is the most important hero and the most powerful Jedi, he's the New Hope and the Jedi Returned, he succeeds where every other
Jedi failed, everything else centers around those facts.
