Quantum-crystalline armor, Chronology & Development
It has been over twenty years since i read "Jedi Search", the novel that introduced 'Quantum-crystalline armor' to the lore of the Expanded Universe. I will try to find my copy.
As per the flimsy "History" given the Sun Crusher & Quantum-crystalline armor in their respective Wookiepedia articles, the best i can narrow QCA's development to roughly 4-9 ABY.
If anyone has any insight to share that can help me to narrow this down further, would be most appreciated!
Thank you! |

I’m not sure exactly what you’re asking, but if this is anywhere, it’ll be in the Maw Installation chapter of the Jedi Academy Sourcebook. _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. There does seem to be a lot of technological overlap in Maw Installation projects, insofar as most of what they're doing involves manipulating matter at the subatomic level. Quantum-Crystaline armor suggests that they're playing around with using quantum mechanics to insert one atom into the "empty spaces" in another atom. Presumably, "phasing" means they're synchronizing the subatomic particles to "vibrate" in such a way that they're moving around each other. I discussed some of my thoughts in more detail here. _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. That would be the Metal-Crystal Phase Shifter. _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. It's expected that you will make up new rules to suit the needs of your game." - The Star Wars Roleplaying Game, 2R&E, pg. 69, WEG, 1996.

Couldn't remember what it was called.. BUT i still can't remember hearing about it in any of the legacy novels, AFTER the jedi academy trilogy.. _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |
