I’m the one who voted 1eRU. But I haven’t really incorporated all the Upgrade; just the Difficulty Numbers.

That is a key change to 1e's system, so I can see why you voted for that option.

I love that 1 person voted for IAG. If they are so inclined, I'd love to hear from this person on how they adapt material for the other two editions to IAG's system, and why that system is their favorite. I love the box set but I've only played this system once, and that was a very long time ago.

The problem with being the "king of house rules" is that it's really difficult to narrow it down to one specific ruleset. If I had to pick, I'd say 2R&E, but a mutated, Frankensteinish variant that incorporates rules from across the entire spectrum from 1E to D6 Space. My Scale System is modified 2R&E, my Coordination system bears a passing resemblance to 2E, my Tactics skill description is derived from the 1E Rules Companion, my Lightsaber Combat system is based on a modified 1E rule (with the addition of a Force Power to augment combat ability), my Force Attribute was (unknowingly) copied from D6 Space...

And so on and so forth.

I'm the same way, but I thought it was important to highlight the official systems here, the basis of all of our homebrew games. And it is nice to recognize where all the components of our rulesets came from or were inspired by.

We started with vanilla 1E, incorporated the Rules Companion, and happily settled into 2E, which we've played ever since it's release with a few modifications. Mostly we use R&E and REUP as sourcebooks, then consult our beloved blue Vader book.

Yeah, my question's more of a law geek one than a practical one. I mean, I get that nobody's going to be republishing the old stuff, outside of the occasional "anniversary edition" or whathaveyou. What I'm curious about is what's in the license agreements.

The Star Wars Roleplaying Game, Second Edition, Revised and Expanded (1996) R&E (aka Star Wars, Revised and Expanded)

This August will be the 25th anniversary of R&E. They could make a killing if they released an anniversary edition, but I just do not see this happening, unfortunately.

Agreed that they could sell a ton of these. It would be awesome to see it back in stores as an anniversary edition, like we saw with 1E recently.

I voted for 2E for the rules, but I *love* the advertisements in the original. Oh, and including D6 Space on the list - good call.
