				| One of the most destructive ship mods I've ever done was to reinforce the seals on the airlock.
When we faced a boarding action we dumped screws, nuts, bolts, nails, and/or scrap metal into the airlock then pumped it up to twenty atmospheres. When the pirates blew the airlock door, it shredded their entire first wave - anything in front of the airlock was cut to ribbons.

				| I like that idea! a modified Claymore mine! very well thought out.
Unless you used a cutting torch to board through a bulkhead
But then again, I think I'm one of the few people who had a Airlock on the bottom of my ship with a cutting torch attached to it, so I could board anyship anywhere lol. _________________

				| Wow, that's awesome...
Reaper63, I also like the idea of the airlock with the cutting torch attached to it. That's pretty cool...

				| Thanks, I also figured that you could impliment it the first time with a portible Airlock on the docking end, and the laser torchinside the open lock. It attaches, and you can detach without decompressing the target ship. Every time you used the cutter till you landed and reset the portible airlock, you would risk decompressing the target ship. _________________

				| The Ulig Abaha Ltd. #2 Warpod from Han Solo and the Corporate Sector book has the same thing. Is that the ship you have or just the same idea?

That piece of equipment can also be found in "Pirates and Privateers" (a darn fine supplement) to buy for older ships. Not exactly common, but easy enough to rig up... Just a universal airlock that's been reenforced, a Plasma Torch, and a "Waldo" (A robotic arm.).

My group swears by it... Or at it... Whatever.

My personal ship modification was to mount a set of retractable Bantha Horns on the front of my ship, the "Broken Arrow". They retracted during reentry to prevent scorching. As the ship has smashed into practially everything (Sometimes even on purpose!), I figured that every little bit helped. *Sigh*, I miss that ship.

 Ray.

				| It was the "Lager" that had the Horns, not the "Broken Arrow". I miss both of them.
The "Broken Arrow" was completely broken afore I could afford luxury items. The entertainment system of the Arrow was a copy of "Hot Hutts"...

We used it to interrogate prisoners...
That was entertainment enough for us for the most part. | |

				| Our tactics master once had us board three medium transports in a row. We rid them of all Impirials, set ba timer for the engine to go off in a few minutes, then had them all ram into a Star destroyer at once! We took out half the planet's forces in six hours! _________________

				| I once had a ship that had an escape pod rigged with explosives and could be piloted on Kamikaze runs. The pilot was a little droid named "Bomber". It was mostly used to take out larger ships or as a distraction. _________________

				| We found some energy crystals some time back, once for each of us. Too bad I killed another player for his.... When installed by a kick butt mechanic they would up increase the whatever system was trying to be up graded. Of course should something go wrong, or the ship be damaged in that area there is a one in six chance that the whole system need to be replaced, and the crystal is no longer usable. I used it on my ghtroc 720 to raise the space from 3 to 8, the other one I used in upgraded shields for an effect of 4D. | |
