Okay this is nasty, very nasty. Curious, for those who have read the comics, do you think this is a good representation of the Muur Talisman? How can it be improved?
Quote: | Muur Talisman
The first of the three Great Amulets created by the Sith Lord Sorzus Syn. Designed for her fellow Lord Karness Muur, the Talisman had the ability to turn other beings into mindless thralls that were at the possessor's command. It was a powerful object of great antiquity and was mentioned in many Sith holocrons dating from before the Golden Age of the Sith. At some time the Talisman was buried in the Undercity of the planet Taris until 3965 BBY when the Mandalorian Pulsipher lead an excavation party to retrieve it. Upon its exposure, the Talisman latched onto female Jedi Master Celeste Morne and began to corrupt her before Jedi Padawan Zayne Carrick sealed her and the Talisman in Dreypa's Oubliette where they both remained for about 4,000 years until 19 BBY.
Through use of dark side alchemy, any non-Force-sensitive that was struck by the Talisman became infected with the rakghoul plague and transformed more quickly than from rakghoul bites in the Under City of Taris. In addition to those under the command by a Force-user the Talisman could transform all suitable beings in wide radius into rakghouls .
The power of the Talisman also allowed its claws to become legs for mobility and bound itself to anyone who called to it. The Talisman also stopped all aging in its host. But the greatest secret concerning the Talisman was that it housed the spirit of Karness Muur, who could speak to nearby Force-sensitives and appear as an apparition to whomever was possessed by the Talisman.
Muur Talisman
Type: Sith artifact
Cost: Not available for sale (10,000,000 estimated)
Availability: 4
Game Notes:
Suitable Host: If a Force-sensitive comes within 10 meters of the talisman, they must make a Difficult stamina or control check. If the check fails, the talisman attaches itself to the Force-sensitive. The host can attempt to transform all suitable beings within a 30 meter radius into a rakghoul. This requires the spending of a Force Point and gives an automatic dark side point (see Rakgoul Transformation). The talisman also allows the bearer to control and give instruction to all rakgouls within sight.
Rakgoul Transformation: If a non-Force-sensitive comes in contact with the talisman they must make a Difficult stamina check. Force-sensitives may use either stamina or control to resist transforming into a rakghoul. If the check fails, the victim turns into a rakghoul in 1D rounds and is under the control of the talisman's host.
Powers of the Dark Side: The power of the Talisman allowed its claws to become legs for mobility (move: 12) and bound itself to whomever called it or was an appropriate host. The Talisman also stopped all aging in its host. The greatest secret concerning the talisman was that it housed the spirit of Karness Muur, who could speak to nearby Force-sensitives and appear as an apparition to whomever was possessed by the Talisman.

I'm not familiar with the source material, but the stat block certainly makes sense and is consistent with the description. _________________ __________________________________
Before we take any of this too seriously, just remember that in the middle episode a little rubber puppet moves a spaceship with his mind. |

I personally found the storyline to do with the Muur Talisman rather boring... it was Dark Horse's attempt at a crossover comic that touched all 3 of its franchises at the time.
Stats seem fine, though. _________________ RR
