Tarkin, the reblellions "best" man?

I am not arging in any way that ol' Willhuff was a rebel or that he had sypathies towards them
However I do belive his extreme hard line, prompted many more groups and world to rally to the rebel cause. Than perhaps otherwise would have

And I am actually thinking that had it ot been for the Death Star the rebels would maybe
never have secured a victory, becuse even with the Tarkin-Doctrine and other weapons of
destruction that was part of this, it would not be as extreme and not been the same.

After the destruction of Aldreaan, we know that it ws a wave of imperial defectors, nto in the
millions, but enough to have a couple of dozen "named" ones at that.

What would have become of the war had Tarking not made and decided to use the Death Star.
