I see that as an interim step between hyperdrive rings and fully integrated drive. From all indications in the original write-up (DE Sourcebook), the sled is an external bolt-on that stays attached. It would seem to follow that doing so would decrease the Cloakshape’s Hull rating or increase the likelihood of damage to the hyperdrive, but I digress. It’s also possible that the hyperdrive sled only works with fighters designed to use it from the outset, with the Cloakshape being a prime example. _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation.
