|
|
I may be the only non-lurker here who uses the Chrome for Mac browser, but this afternoon I started getting an "Info or Not secure" warning from Chrome when logging into the Pit. I can still log in and use the site fine. I do not get the login warning with Safari. Just to be safe I submitted a ticket to the web provider. They found no issues with the site, and they logged in through multiple browsers without seeing the warning. I researched it with Google and their help files say the warning means they detect that there are credit card number fields with unsecure hypertext transfer protocol (http). But there are no credit card number fields here, and we upgraded to secure hypertext transfer protocol (https) a long time ago anyway. All old Pit URLs for the entire website are set to automatically forward from http to https.
So in other words, Go home Google, you're drunk. There are no issues. FYI for Chrome users. Thanks. _________________ *

Noticed this when I logged in today, as well as a few other sites earlier. Took a chance, and here I am. Pretty weird... _________________ Currently playing D&D 5E and painting an unholy amount of miniatures. |

I use chrome, have no issue logging on here, but I do keep me suto logged in though.
I have however had the "issue" once, but this was me using explorer, but I fixed it in security settings, so I think the one time I had issues on my side was loacal to my PC. |

Just to confirm, you logged in with Chrome? Was this Chrome for Mac or another OS?

Both yesterday and today I got the same message. I use Chrome, but on an IBM.
Once I click "send anyway" it puts me on here with no issues. I have enough protection from McAfee and nothing else is flagging, so I think it's some sort of "electronic handshake" that is sending up a red flag or something. |

So Chrome for Windows too. Thanks.

Right. I have active internet security that does warn me for dangerous sites, and it does not see the Rancor Pit as dangerous. This is a Google Chrome issue. I tried to report it to Google. _________________ *

I am using chrome at the moment, and I have not ahd issues.
I am also on PC not Mac, if that could have something with it, but with so many having issues, you should try send google a "tick tack tick tack" mail, or in other words try get them to look at it again. |

Chrome on Windows, and it's still doing it.
On a related note, I couldn't log into Gmail yesterday morning, but I can today. Not sure what's going on with Chrome. _________________ Currently playing D&D 5E and painting an unholy amount of miniatures. |

Thanks for clarifying. Yeah, it seems Chrome is unfortunately having issues all the way around.
I'm used to Chrome for Mac acting up. For a handful of websites, it does not acknowledge that javascript is allowed so requires me to use another browser. Not a lot of sites, but I did just come across a new one today. And Chrome for Mac hates captcha. Half the time it doesn't work. _________________ *

And just like that.... it seems fixed.
At least on my computer, still using Chrome. No more message when logging in. |

I am not sure if it has any impact, other than once I have not had the issue, but I checked "keep me logged in"
And have no issues other than one, and quite a while back, I then only refreshed the page |
