Big fan of his Whill, Atlantis the Second age is also fantastic and I look forward to the new Kickstarter for MythicD6 coming up.
I am one of the weird people that likes simple but a certain level of versimilitude in my mechanics. I am glad that D6 has so many variants to choose from. _________________ Teamwork is essential, it gives them someone else to shoot at! |

Well I'll reintroduce myself here too
I has been YEARS since I last stuck my head in here. my group played TLG Castle and Crusades only for a while. Then we played TLG's Victorious for a bit. I'm now running an Amazing Adventures based 'Masque of Red Death' game for the group.
However, there are rumblings in the group for the next game to be Sci Fi . When I mentioned Star Ward d6, some of the players took the bait.
So, I figured I'd need to come back here and get caught up on the rules and start putting together ideas for the possible game. _________________ "And so I am become a knight of the Kingdom of Dreams and Shadows!" - Mark Twain

Hello, starwars D6 newbie here
It's been a long time I wanted to give a try to starwars D6 (because everyone knows it's the best version :p). I kept post-poning it and now my son reached an age where HE told me he wanted to play it, so, yeah, it's time !
A huge thanks to the community for all the ressources and help !
Have fun. |

Sound great. Welcome to the Pit. I've been doing ttrpgs with my kids since they were in second and third grade (with really stripped-down rules, of course). Now that they're older, they're in a group with some friends of mine. Gaming with kids is definitely a different animal, but it's great to pass down the hobby to the next generation. _________________ __________________________________

Hello. I was on this site many years ago, but I don't remember if I actually had an account or if I just lurked. It's also possible that I had an account and just lurked. Anyhoo, I'm back.
I've been getting the itch to run a Star Wars game, so I got my cache of books out (shown below with my overseers, Silk and Velvet), and have been attempting to re-familiarize myself with the rules.
I've also been going through my enormous pile of half-baked ideas for house rules. While there are a lot that I simply don't know what I was thinking, there are a number that I think have potential. I'll be working to clean them up and share here for c&c.

Hello and well met! My name is Pablo and I’m from Uruguay, South America. Big fan of RPGs, been playing and GMing since last millennia. I consider myself a StarWars fan, but not in any serious way (canon discussions and minutiae bore me to death). I enjoy the movies, mainly the original ones (ESB rocks) but also Rogue One (sequel trilogy definitely not). Only SW novel I ever read was “I, Jedi” and I liked it. I also enjoyed a lot of the 90s SW computer games like Jedi Outcast and X-Wing Alliance. Finally, Im big fan of WEG D6 SW RPG and that’s why Im here.
I will soon run a campaign for my current RPG group. A “Tramp Freighters” campaign nonetheless. I hope to find help, ideas and suggestions on how to best run it. I have very little spare time to prep (work, kids, etc) so I hope to take advantage of the collective wisdom of the forum to help me make the most out of it. What material, sources, adventures, house rules are worth looking into and which are better to stay clear of. What are the common pitfalls in this “fringers” games and how to avoid them. And so on. By now, Im fully confident in my general GMing skills (though I think you can always learn and improve), but would definitely like help from more SW knowledgeable players and GMs on how to make the most of the vast official and fan made material that’s available to use.
So thank you for having me. Next round is on me. _________________ —————————————

Heya y'all i'm Krassh, currently a barabel shockboxer in a SWD6 campaign i started this year. Lots of fun so far.
I got things to clarify since the official rules are far from perfect or complete.
And there's lots of fluff questions to be answered like: what does a shock boxing tournament actually look like and what are the rules? Why is there no fan supplement for shock boxing as a martial art?
Why is the ship design in legacy SW either terribly unaesthetic or completely unpractical and nonsensical from an engineering and usability standpoint, especially concerning light freighters? And who can or wants do do something about it?
Anyway, glad to be here in this venerable forum, let's get it on! |
