Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill could not sit down in the armor between takes when filming the original SW. They had a thin wood beam they could uncomfortably straddle. That's it. _________________ *

Funny, I was thinking of that recently. I think for at least urination, the black body suit under the armor works like a Dune stillsuit. It allows them to stay hydrated and pull off 8-hour shifts with no breaks! (For defecation, maybe they just have to do that off-duty. They probably would have to take off at least part of the armor for that, but my Star Wars universe doesn't really need mundane details like that).
I thought of the stillsuit idea when considering that even the standard stormtrooper armor body should provide some degree of temperature regulation, so they have limited, short term protections from more extreme heat or cold. _________________ *

There's also the possibility that stormtroopers are fed a relatively low-excretion diet... something that can be almost completely metabolized Maybe even something like food pills... get a bit of calories, appetite suppressants, and your daily dose of vitamins. Real food is a perk of those with rank... get pauldrons and you get to eat some synthetic meat. _________________ "I've Seen Your Daily Routine. You Are Not Busy!"

That makes sense. It could even be a pure liquid diet, a high calorie vita-drink that includes the appetite suppressant. _________________ *

I forgot where i read it, but those black suit undergarments, are akin to bodygloves.. Which DO help regulate temperature.. _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |
