This varies heavily by era.
Turns out that a thousand generations is enough time to develop a few distinctive eras and identities for the Jedi Knights.
We've had the philosophers of the early Je'daii Order, the noble knights at the height of the Republic's civilisation, the warlords of the Republic Dark Age, the stagnant de facto arbiters of Galactic Senate policy during the Clone Wars, the secretive refugees from the Galactic Empire, and the rekindled knights errant of the New Republic.
Maybe we'll even see a new face of them during this new High Republic era. |
