Hi all, I've been away a long time, and wasn't a frequent poster even back then!
Anyway, I want to introduce my kids to Star Wars gaming around a 'classic' Rebel's campaign, you know tramp freighter based, disparate band of characters etc.
As I don't have the time I did prior, and I'm not sure if it will last (obviously I absolutely hope it will!) I'm looking for a ready-made sector they can leap into.
So basically I'm looking for a recommendation of the 'most Star Wars-like' Rebel campaign sector available. I have a few books in print, most notably Classic Campaigns and the Planets Collection but wondered if there was a stronger campaign lurking in Tramp Freighters or other book. |

IIRC the Minos cluster setting included in Tramp freighters, is a good start off point. _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

The Minos Cluster would be a good setting to use. That would be my first choice.
One single adventure for tramp freighters that I used was "The Politics of Contraband." I thought it worked well. I forget what pack that was in.
The Siskar Run campaign book is good for smugglers, but is probably too dark for most kids since the PCs are (knowingly or unknowingly) working for the Star Wars equivalent of the Mafia. But it is an extended smugglers campaign with some interesting adventures including one Indiana Jones style adventure about stolen archaeological treasures.
You might be able to steal adventure ideas from Traveller. Back sometime last century I used to see tons of Traveller adventure seeds some of which were for merchants. |

Thanks everyone, I'll take a look at GG6 then.
Yeah the 13.5 years took me by surprise too! My youngest was just about 1 then, so they're not that young anymore, but I want them to see a 'classic' campaign rather than the Clone Wars era adventures we've previously had. |
