Just curious about our age demographics. When you were born, who was the U.S. President? Nixon for me.
No politics, please, and no mention of actual birth year. We're not trying to expose personal information.
Thanks! _________________ Aha! |

Much as I always thought of it as George H. W. Bush, my first president is Ronald Reagan. For pure interest's sake, my older set of grandparents can claim Herbert Hoover. _________________ "Fear God and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man." (Ecclesiastes 12:13b)

Technically, wasn’t Trudeau a Prime Minister? _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. It's expected that you will make up new rules to suit the needs of your game." - The Star Wars Roleplaying Game, 2R&E, pg. 69, WEG, 1996.

Yes, but per the topic of this poll, he was never a president. _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. It's expected that you will make up new rules to suit the needs of your game." - The Star Wars Roleplaying Game, 2R&E, pg. 69, WEG, 1996.

Actually, the head of state for Canada would be Queen Elizabeth II. The Prime Minister serves under her.
Of course, the crown hasn't demanded much of Canada in the last, oh, century or so. WWI is about it.
WWII, we were big boys and were able to declare war all on our own. Although that leads to an interesting story of itself. |

I had heard of this concept of the UK's monarchy still technically being the head of state for a bunch of nations around the world. I'm an US American and I do not understand how a nation can be sovereign while under the reign another country's queen. My forefather's rebelled against that Empire and won our independence. We have no use for the concept of hereditary monarchs here. In fact, I admit I am even totally baffled by a common American fascination with the British monarchy. I just don't get it. But no disrespect meant to Canadian traditions. _________________ *

I mean, given that the OP specified US President, both in the OP and in the poll, it doesn't really matter who the Lord High Goose of the Northern Marches (that's the King of Canada, right?). The US President was the US President, regardless of the name of His Gandership.

Well, he was only president for ~2 1/2 years, so that's a much narrower window. _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. It's expected that you will make up new rules to suit the needs of your game." - The Star Wars Roleplaying Game, 2R&E, pg. 69, WEG, 1996.
