Skills: Climbing and Jumping are separate skills.
Melee Weaponry: Melee weapons have reach, that is, a range. To illustrate, a typical billy club, short sword, machete, or baseball bat would have a reach of three feet. A small dagger, brass knuckles, or bare fists (if Brawling) would have a reach of two feet. A typical broomstick, fixed bayonet, or halberd would have a reach of five feet. The last two would also have a minimum range of two feet, within which one would have to hit his opponent with the handle, shaft, or butt of the weapon for different damage and difficulty, or else "choke up" on the weapon (shortening) to pull its range in closer; shortening would count as an action.
Electronics: Electronics are fashioned after the Eighties. Datapads are sophisticated word processors, not laptops. Computing in general is DOS and mainframe, and is done without benefit of Internet; one generally must physically access a computer. The average person has no experience of the Holonet; it is government technology. Comlinks are not cell phones, but radios. Macrobinoculars have a limited camcorder capability. Most devices have a specific function; there is nothing like a smartphone.
Measurements: Short measurements, such as dimensions of things or blaster rifle ranges, shall be expressed by the GM in English measures. For the benefit of metric users, a yard is roughly a meter; a foot is roughly a third of a meter; an inch is about twenty-five millimeters. _________________ "Fear God and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man."
