Has anyone thrown up stats for the imperial light carrier from the Rebels cartoon? Didn't find it on search of the Pit. |

Do you mean the QuasarFire carrier that got canonized? You can find it in the Truce at Bakura sourcebook, pages 112-113. _________________ Sutehp's RPG Goodies

Oh, Ning was asking about the Arquitens? Yeah, that's a light cruiser, not a light carrier, though it can carry a flight (around 4) of TIEs. Generally if you call a ship a carrier, it has to carry alot more fighters than just a half-dozen or so.
Just because you can carry a few fighters, that doesn't make you a carrier. To be a carrier, you have to be able to carry LOTS of fighters (or be infected with a disease while not being affected by the symptoms, but that's a different kind of carrier). _________________ Sutehp's RPG Goodies

Strictly in terms of size and armament, the Arquitens is actually a Corvette. _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. It's expected that you will make up new rules to suit the needs of your game." - The Star Wars Roleplaying Game, 2R&E, pg. 69, WEG, 1996.

In SWRe's the Imperial Light Cruiser is a modified version of the Arquitens-class light cruiser.
Aruitens-class Command Cruiser, better known as an Imperial Light Cruiser is equipped with: 4 Quad laser turrets (SWRe1.14), 1 Tractor beam projector (SWRe 2.08), 8 escape craft (from concept art shared on starwars.com), could carry: 3 TIE/IN interceptors(SWRe 3.04), 2 TIE/ln (SWRe 2.14), or 2 TIE/sa bombers (SWRe 3.12-13).
Oddly the Arquitens-class light cruiser required 4 pilots (TCW 3.02) and was equipped with 4 Quad laser turrets, 4 Dual turbolaser cannons, 4 Missile tubes, 50 troops (TCW 3.02).
There is also the Imperial Era retrofit Gozanti-class cruiser, better known as an Imperial freighter. It is equipped with: 1 Dorsal twin laser cannon turret (SWRe 1.04), 1 Ventral heavy laser cannon turret (SWRe 1.04), may externally mount: 2 All Terrain Armored Transports (SWRe 2.12), 2 All Terrain Defense Pods (SWRe 1.03), 4 TIE/ln (SWRe 1.04), or 4 TIE/ln and 1 TIE/sa bomber (SWRe 3.08), as well as 1 Stormtrooper squad (SWRe visual guide).
Both ships are listed in the Star Wars Rebels Season One Sourcebook. _________________ Don Diestler

Yes I think it's the quasarfire. I'm referring to the light carrier that the rebels steal from the imperials over Ryloth. It becomes the flagship of their cell's fleet. |

After looking at the quasarfire im not sure that's it. The ship in the sourcebook is a modified bulk Cruiser and the vessel I'm describing is Imperial-made. Unless the show just took the design and scrapped everything else. |

In Legends the ship is the Quasar Fire-class cruiser-carrier, also known as an Alliance escort carrier. The ship was a modified Quasar Fire-class bulk cruiser, chosen for its modular construction and ease of customization.
In Canon, it is the Quasar Fire-class cruiser-carrier used by the Imperial Navy. If I remember correctly, I started with the stats of the
Virgillian Quasar Fire Cruiser-Carrier found in Starships Stats (page 228). I then created the stats based on observation of SWRe's and canon sources. You can find it in the Star Wars Rebels Season One Sourcebook. _________________ Don Diestler

I had a feeling you'd worked up stats on this one. Thanks! Zero cargo capacity? What's your reasoning for that? Looking forward to this sourcebook. |

I gotta copy this one down later after a good night's sleep (and after the Climate March 9 hours from now).
But yeah, no cargo space makes some sense, because this this is basically a flying hangar and not much else. _________________ Sutehp's RPG Goodies

Huh, I finally got around to copying the stats for this and I compared it to what's written down in the Truce of Bakura Sourcebook and I think Shootingwomprats got the fighter complement wrong. The Sourcebook says that it can hold 48 fighters (4 squadrons) while Oliver's stats say it can only hold 24 fighters (2 squadrons). I'd expect a starfighter carrier, even one as relatively small as the Quasar Fire, to be able to hold at least 3 squadrons of 36 fighters. Certainly 4 squadrons of 48 fighters, as detailed in the TAB Sourcebook, doesn't seem unreasonable. But only 2 squadrons sounds low to me. I can understand if the Rebels in SWRe only managed to scrounge up 2 squadrons to put into their carrier, but I can't believe that was the ship's full capacity.
(See, Shootingwomprats? My editing skills are already paying off. )
EDIT: Something else: I was trying to figure out what that floating-by-itself "(p. 228)" page reference was for. Then I realized it was for the D20-to-D6 Conversion Starship book. And it says the Quasar Fire can hold 48 fighters as well.
EDIT 2: Wait, does that say a skeleton crew of 1 person??? Am I reading that right? _________________ Sutehp's RPG Goodies

If there's no cargo space where are the proton torpedo and concussion missile reloads for the starfighters kept?
On warships cargo space isn't used for shipping merchandise. |
