Because of Telsij's request in this thread, I have been convinced to post images and descriptions of the PCs in my current campaign here. Feel free to use the artwork (commissioned from the excellent Will Nunes) for character ideas in your own games.
Ghrenk
Ghrenk is an Ithorian mechanic and co-pilot with a nature-loving bent. He fills the working spaces of the Duracrud with plants, much to the consternation of the rest of the crew. It is only because the Captain is a fellow nature-lover that his garden has survived this long.
He has begun and failed the process to become a Nature Priest twice - the first for a lack of caring, and the second because he has become a wanted fugitive of the Empire and was subsequently exiled from his herd.
Ghrenk has worked with violent bounty hunter-turned-Rebel hero Captain Tarahab for most of a decade. They may not see eye-to-eye, but their friendship never wavers.
In terms of personality, Ghrenk is cowardly and neurotic. The pacifism of his people clashes with Tarahab's methods. Due to the Ithorian guideline, "For every tree you cut down, plant two more in its place," Ghrnek records the name (or description, if a name is unavailable) of every death he is party to in the course of his work. His primary motivation is to sire as many children as possible - in hopes of having two for every name on his list - but has begun to despair, as he still hasn't had a single child... and yet his list is in the hundreds.
I'll keep posting character bios over the next few days, when I find time. _________________ Also known as Kiss My Wookiee on Discord and Reddit. |

Huzzah! Really like the character aspect of his recording the name of every death he is party to, as well as the semi-futile goal of siring so many children. Really well developed character here! And again, great artwork and visual characterization as well... the poncho is a nice touch. |

I'll tell the player that his designs and character development are appreciated! I love the poncho, too. Ghrenk really is a blast to have in the party. He's always getting into zany hijinks...
...but he's never quite as much trouble as his boss:
Tarahab
Tarahab is an excessively violent and moderately incompetent wookiee bounty hunter-turned-Rebel. He is a slave to no man - despite remaining in debt to the crime lord who lent him his ship, the Duracrud - and vehemently seeks out and punishes slavers for their misdeeds.
Throughout the course of the campaign, he has become one of the greatest transport pilots in the galaxy, with a reputation of daring exploits rivaling even those who have made the famed Kessel Run. He once (due to his player rolling six straight sixes on the wild die) escaped the tractor beam of an Imperial Star Destroyer.
Tarahab isn't the most subtle of Rebels. Those critical of his command have called his Machiavellian tactics crude - or worse, war crimes - and yet his nearly perfect track record belies a masterful presence on the battlefield. _________________ Also known as Kiss My Wookiee on Discord and Reddit. |

Perhaps as an alternative, he can go around and start adopting children of dead rebel alliance members, or those who are refugees from the war.. _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

Isn't the Duracrud mentioned in the Legacy of the Force books? Because I haven't any of these guys mentioned in Treefrog's LotF fanbook.
...Unless we're talking about a totally different Duracrud ship. _________________ Sutehp's RPG Goodies

Just repurchased the X-Wing and Tie Fighter flight sim games. I forgot how much I missed them. |

That's actually a great idea. I'll pitch that to the player.

We're talking about an entirely different one. Their ship has had many names, including: Bull, The Saffron Turkey, So Much For Subtlety, and Duracrud. I knew I got that last one from somewhere - I guess it was the novel you're thinking of. _________________ Also known as Kiss My Wookiee on Discord and Reddit. |

"The Saffron Turkey"? Damn, that's a weird name, but the Saffron part reminded me of YoSaffBridge from Firefly.
Gorram it, that woman was completely off her nut! _________________ Sutehp's RPG Goodies

These are awesome...
And I never thought of it before, but the Ithorians and the Wookies really are a good match in some ways, aren't they? _________________ "I've Seen Your Daily Routine. You Are Not Busy!"

Thanks! I agree.

They really are - both love their plants and forests, and value their family/clan/herd above all else. They're both typically fairly pacifistic, too, though wookiees are less so.
But both species have their outliers.

Giby Juan Benole is a nutcase, of the quixotic "Jedi" type. He wears homemade armor made from an old protocol droid and wields an old-fashioned vibroblade. Many of his beliefs about the Jedi are... questionable at best, but he means well and is a fierce warrior in his own right.
Plus, Jedi or not, he at least adheres to their code (as he understands it) and displays intermittent competence in using the Force. So he's not all bad. Now, if only we could do something about that embarrassing collection of Jedi Knight trading cards... _________________ Also known as Kiss My Wookiee on Discord and Reddit. |

Ok, that epaulet made from the upside-down head of a 3PO droid is both crazy awesome and intensely creepifying at the same time. _________________ Sutehp's RPG Goodies

Either he has some sort of augmented vision and is inspecting the edge of his vibro sword for flaws or he is contemplating seppuku. |

Mostly creepifying, I think. But it's cool.

Neither. He's just a dunce and didn't notice he was holding his sword wrong. _________________ Also known as Kiss My Wookiee on Discord and Reddit. |
