Is that why he joined the Rebellion? "Eh, work is work!" ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ _________________ Sutehp's RPG Goodies

Just repurchased the X-Wing and Tie Fighter flight sim games. I forgot how much I missed them. |

One of my character's mother was a Holovid/Music celebrity. It was due to her fame that my character gravitated to the Fringe and became a smuggler.
I've delved into the Entertainment aspect a bit with our campaign setting, but I feel that it's just a scratch on the surface. In a prior campaign, my character started a business for black market... uh... Racy holovids featuring various attractive species and "actresses". It was supposed to be tasteful... _________________ "Sarcasm is just one of the many services I provide."

Wait, how does that work? You become famous and then become a smuggler?

LOL. However, I can see it. "My mom is famous. I have seen how that causes problems. So I'm gonna live out here, where they won't know me, and just get by. Find a crew. Find a job. Keep flying. _________________ "I've Seen Your Daily Routine. You Are Not Busy!"

Being famous CAN be a penaltiy, especially for groups trying to keep under the 'radar'... _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

He went underground after being accused of being in a number of seditious films against the Empire.
He was recruited because he looked like a high ranking Imperial Officer who was in command of a prison complex.
If you've seen a film called 'I Was Monty's Double', then you'll get what I mean. |

Looking like and being able to impersonate someone convincingly are 2 different things. Check out one of my FEW Chris rock films i like, Bad company, to see what i am on about. _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

That is why he is an actor.. He didn't know of his resemblance to the Imperial.. So he uses all his skill to do so..
Invariably it's not perfect, he does make mistakes, he manages to fool them for a time. |

What's his skills? IMO actors would have profession - acting, not Con itself... _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

To answer the questions-
In her backstory, CJ's parents split when she was about 9 or 10. Dad, being a typical Corellian, was more prone to flying about the galaxy and getting in with less than scrupulous individuals. Mom, on the other hand, had status and fame. She wanted the same for her daughter. CJ was more taken by the risks and adventure of flying from planet to planet, just like dear old dad. CJ felt constrained by the rules and social graces she'd have to follow in order to live up to mom's standards. Mom's fame also kept mom very busy, constantly flitting from one place to the next, but always being prim and proper. Dad's way was way more fun... At least to a young girl with big dreams.
If anyone's up for some reading, you can read more of the story here:

CJ's backstory is in the second part... _________________ "Sarcasm is just one of the many services I provide."
