Good morning, Rancor Pit! Long time lurker/reader here, who finally officially signed up for an account.
As I became more and more active in the g+ D6 Star Wars group, I figured it was high time that I officially sign on here as well.
And if anyone's curious, here is the archive of my regular "Obscure Character" contribution to the D6 g+ group,
which I update, on either a weekly or biweekly basis, for their Character Tuesday feature:

Thank you for the warm welcome as well, Whill. And I must say, having read many of your comments

Good... good...
My original avatar here was the Emperor from RotJ because that is the player-facing image on my GM screen, and one year we got into a discussion about avatars. Someone said that he tended to envision the forum users as their avatars and so he had a somewhat evil perception of me. So I quickly updated my avatar to Senator Palpatine as a kinder, gentler face of the Emperor. But yes, still creepy.

Welcome, Dinger! Yeah, I'm wanting to play D6 Star Wars now too. I don't know of any SWD6 groups here in Washington, DC, though...

Finally I'm here.  I have played L5R, Vampire and Shadowrun for years now but it's surprisingly difficult to play a p&p game like Vampire or Shadowrun with kids by the side.  So we have looked for an alternative. I wanted to play the OpenD6 system for years now and I remembered the good old WEG Star Wars D6.
Well, all my gamers were happy with this idea and to be part of the Star Wars universe.
Yesterday I have started our first adventure, dated 5 BBY, with a group of freelancers and smugglers in the Brak sector. And my wife (and I'm too, of course) are happy, because our daughter has made her first steps as a young Togruta on p&p too.

Nice another L5R Player (Loyal son of Hida here) and Shadowrun Player (grew up within half an hour of Seattle in what would become the Puyallup Barrens) |

Dang, I also can't quite get image posting to work. Glad it wasn't necessarily just a newbie issue on my part.
Where in Boston are you? I lived in the Cambridge/Somerville area for 5 years or so -- I even met my wife in Somerville! |
