Ok going through some old Challenge magazines and came across some Star Wars templates, I was wondering if any had shown up elsewhere? |

Those old Challenge magazines were definitely a fine resource back in the day, and are still a good source for templates.
I forget what issues they appeared in off-hand, but the Rebel Scum, Glib Scoundrel, Yearning Farmhand, and Prodigy were all memorable templates.
Apart from Challenge, I don't recall other templates popping up in Dragon, Polyhedron and other magazines from the time. Hopefully, others here might know....

Challenge was GDW's Gaming Magazine, it wasn't a House Organ, SJG with Space Gamer, Roleplayer and Pyramid was the only other game company to put our a magizine that wasn't a House Organ.
From Challenge 60 Pages 64-66 contributed by Chris Hind they where Repluserlift Racer, Cyborg, Rebel Scum, Displaced Entrepreneur & Prodigy, they where for 1e, it will take a wile for me to Cut, Paste & Reformat them from my PDF copy to post them, I'' be Damed if I'm going to transcribe them from my Hard Copies
From Challenge 73 Pages 67- 73 contributed by Martin Wixted and for 2nd ed (released around the time of the Mos Eisley Galaxy Guide), it will take slightly less work to transfer them across but included the Gentle Gamorrean, Glib Scoundrel, Yearning Farmhand, Rueful Militia Member, Unsophisticated Syndicate Stooge and Hopeful Trash Collector. |

OMG! This was my favorite magazine. It was all things science fiction roleplaying and started out as The Journal of the Travelers Aid Society, until it was revamped as Challenge Magazine.
A number of years back I scanned and created a PDF with all the articles for Star Wars d6 that appeared in the magazine. Its located in the Star Wars D6 g+ community files. Here is another link to it on dropbox.

Thanks for sharing the Challenge articles. Would there be anything in the old Space Gamer magazines? |

Haha, that's right! I'd forgotten about those two as well. Not normally my preference for Star Wars, but in their case, I did enjoy the accompanying cartoony tongue-in-cheek artwork.

I think the only articles or Star Wars to appears in Space/Fantasy Gamer are:
83 "Keeping the Force with your Campaign"
86 "Death of a Hero"
88 "Pekooine Opera Blues" _________________ Don Diestler

Thanks for those links. I'm not too bullish on the "Death of a Hero" and "Pekooine Opera Blues" adventures (granted I only glanced at them) but the essay "Keeping the Force in your Campaign" looks like it might have some good pointers. _________________ Sutehp's RPG Goodies
Only some of it is for D6 Star Wars.
Just repurchased the X-Wing and Tie Fighter flight sim games. I forgot how much I missed them. |

I didn't intend to imply that the SJG Mags where rife with SW, just they were not just House Organs like almost all the Mags put out by gaming companies at the time, unfortunately Roleplayer was forced to go heavy on SJG or non system linked content due to how litigious some parts of the industry where at the time, at least they carried adds for anyone that would pony up the cash. |
