Good morning, Rancor Pit!

Longtime lurker, recent official member here. Shooting Womprats has completed their Rebels Season 2 Sourcebook
and I served as its editor (and Clone Wars character stat person).

The text itself is complete and was already handed off to our previous layout person as of this past Fall.
Unfortunately, we lost contact with him and have been unable to re-establish contact. (Hopefully nothing crazy has befallen him!)

Just wanted to send feelers out to see if there was anyone in the Pit Forums who might be interested in doing layout.
If you or someone you know has the time, interest and skill, please let either me or Shooting Womprats know,
as we hope to get it out before Season 3 concludes, middle of next year.

Thank you in advance for any folks who might come this way!

Can you extend your needs for this project? What kind of layout do you have in mind? Examples? Do you have an artist? What kind of art do you want to use? Letter or half-letter size book? Do you want it for print or just an online pdf? Length of the brute text (number of words)?

I suppose that it's for non-commercial purposes, but the copyright applies anyway. Disney is watching. Very Happy

I have some experience, and I could be interested.

Hi Meriba, thank you for your fast response and (potential) interest!

The project is of course, for non-commercial purposes, and is not unlike previous fan-produced sourcebooks and galaxy guides,
made for fan use and only out of love of Star Wars and D6. Very Happy

The document's stats:

Pages: 335 (Letter-size. This includes pre-planned splash pages for chapter openings, a page devoted to crawl text, etc.
The font size used was 11. Not sure why 11 was chosen, but it will obviously scale down somewhat considerably, if put into size 10)

Words: 13,0175
Characters: 788,682
Characters excluding spaces: 66,6133

For reference, this is how the previous layout person handled the Rebels Season 1 Sourcebook: http://d6holocron.com/downloads/books/swre.pdf

My personal preference is for pdf only, but it's hoped that one version whose borders/layout/jazz allow for both can be created!

I am clearly biased, but the book itself came out pretty well. The stats and mechanics are interestingly done, and Don put a lot of work into it.
Hopefully this stokes your interest further. Please let me know if you would like any more info, and in the meantime, I can also reach out
to Don to see about sharing the doc with you, if you are game for the layout!

Blast! Didn't address some of your specific Qs:

We did not have a specific and/or commissioned artist in mind.
As you can see from the Season 1 book, it's largely photoshop
and/or gimp pastiche, libre office and images culled from the internet.

And I'm pretty sure that any size -- whether letter, digest of otherwise --
that you find manageable would fly! And of course, your own creative input
regarding visual direction for the project would be most welcome.

EDIT: Did not realize that the SW galaxy maps from last year were a past project of yours! Excellent work, sir!

Atually the release of the book should be in two formats: 1. a PDF only e-version; and 2. A Lulu ready printable version minus covers and covers provided in the appropriate size for those wishing to POD in either greyscale or RGB softcover.

If serious, please contact me via email: rpgman999@gmail.com

Meriba – that already looks gorgeous. Great composition and texture work.

And yeah, Don would better know the particulars of
what different type of "final" formats ShootingWomprats was looking for!

Lets see, spam folder ... Married Hall Pass Ad-Par ... nope ... ISF Date Personals Promo .... nope .... Local MILFs MHP Associate ... nope NOPE ... Married Hall Pass Ad-Par ... oh hell no!

Okay, I did not see anything from you. Please resend and I will be sure to be on the lookout for it.

NOTE: Disregard, I found it and responded. For some reason thought I already had responded. Odd. Anyway, I did it now. Sorry for the confusion.

Just wanted to say that, after having gotten a peek at a few preliminary pages from Meriba, I am really glad he has signed on. It's a Life Day miracle!

Looking great so far, sir.

Zomg, I could use a new Star Wars D6 book to lift my spirits. I'm especially curious to see how the Seventh Sister, Fifth Brother and Eighth Brother are statted. Not to mention updated stats for the Ghost with its (then) new proton torpedo launchers. 8)

We never did find out what species the Fifth Brother was, did we?

I would like to see this as well. Will it get a Galaxy Guide notation?

Since Season 1 didn't get a GG notation, it wouldn't make sense for a Season 2 book to get a GG notation.

That's too bad.
