I think I'm leaning more toward the smuggler option, myself. My slicer will be a bit more rounded than, say, Ghent from Talon Karrde's organization. He'll have some fighting skills as well. |

I think smuggler just won out. PM me your character concepts and a short bio. You can talk about them here as well, get some collaboration going, figure out how you know each other and such.
Take a look over the house rules post to get my general rules for character creation.
Time frame is a year or two before the events of A New Hope.
Let me know if you want to be the ship owner.

Is one idea
Skyler your slicer skilled in ship repairs or just mainly computers and security? With some combat?
I like tech chars also, just tend to be more repair oriented.
Also thought about a sector ranger, undercover. See the template I was working on. |

Lol in your reduced CP game the double CP for skill advancement would be bad for Ugor.

Savar, I had the same thought regarding the pilot that you did; I asked Kytross if my character could be the owner, but not necessarily the pilot. Captain has command and control needs a high perception for personal interactions. Pilot needs high perception for initiative. So the two chars have a good overlap. Captain should have a high knowledge for systems, routes, and values. Pilots need a high mechanical for piloting skills. A divergence that if the char is separated into two chars then they could be more effective the trying to have one char do both jobs. |

Datapad and 50k comlink are free. Anything beyond that, like special datapad, or 200km comlinks will have a associated cost to be assessed on a case by case level.
Negatives add in as well. Armor that's 2D resistance and -1D Dex is a net cost of 1D.
I went to this system because the list prices have a great deal of variance. |

Makes a lot more sense the some attempts to fix prices I have seen. |
