Hello Folks,
This question might have been answered before so apologies. Am I reading RAW (2 ed) correctly that just by doing a movement maneuver such as bootlegger turn does not inherently add to your base defensive target number? That in order to do that, it is a separate Vehicle dodge roll? (Well Starfighter Dodge that is.)
Thanks in advance. |

That's my understanding. It was once explained to me that a Full Dodge in a vehicle was essentially a very tight loop or spin that put the vehicle right back where it was when it began the evasion.
As I've studied the various maneuvers that are used in modern fighter combat, I've found that several of the maneuvers commonly used to evade an attack involve coming to a completely different heading. I'd be interested in seeing variations on a full dodge that include a change in direction and position. _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. I think the last time I ran combat, I made what the pilot made in a nove roll tge nee target number to hit. I think next time I'll keep it easier but as a house rule, tgere will be some defensive bonus for doing a maneuver. |
