The TIE Striker
I saw this at the Rogue One exhibit at Star Wars Celebration Europe at the weekend.
Looks like the wings fold. |

According to various web sources, it is designed to operate within an atmoshpere - like an aircraft.
I assume it has no ceiling, and we won't know it's speed and turn radius until we see it in the movie, but I will guess it has 2 days of fuel just like the other TIEs.
I note it's wings are not curved so the wings should generate no lift, but given the Empire's repulsorlift technology, it probably doesn't need any.

Yea, from the site i saw it mentioned about (along with an AT-AT cargo version), it was said that its MORE for atmospheric control of airspace, rather than in space itself, though it can work up there too. _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |
