How is Star Wars Club as a source?

You mean like their Wiki and such? How reliable and accurate is the info there? I think searches have brought me there before and my impression is that they make changes to suit their game. My impression was that they are less accurate than Wookieepedia. Or did you mean something else by how is it as a source? _________________ *

I tried taking a peek, and it looks pretty worthless to non-members. _________________ RR

I used to be part of the various gaming groups on the site, and you are pretty much correct that Star Wars Club is its own entity. Everything after the Thrawn Campaign follows an in-club timeline since its establishment back in 1994.
It was fun to be part of, but has seen a significant downturn over the years. |

Hi folks. I haven't been here in years (sorry), but I just recently joined SWC.
A SWC member named Tim wanted to respond here to dhawk's post, but Tim is still waiting for his registration to be approved.
In the meantime, I'll just quote his words directly:

For what it's worth, there is an extensive database of WEG stats at http://starwarsclub.org/starwars/swstats/ _________________ "WHERE ARE THE CHEETOS?"

You can PM me Tim's login name and e-mail address. I'll make sure the admin knows he's pending. _________________ __________________________________
Before we take any of this too seriously, just remember that in the middle episode a little rubber puppet moves a spaceship with his mind. |

Tim is correct that SWC in general has shifted gears to moved from its internal setting to becoming a hosting site for various settings, eras, etc., and I apologize that I did not mention that beforehand.
It was not my intent to downplay the site as a location for meaningful roleplaying experiences. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there, though admittedly, my appearances there have been very sporadic at best over the years. And I've been in touch with some great folks in that timeframe as well. But even in its current state, I don't consider it as a EU resource. Roleplaying venue however? Yes, absolutely! |
