So, a fork off the Ab/dis energy, Physical - Kinetic force absorbed?? thread:
In TFA, Kylo Ren stops a blaster bolt in mid air and holds it there for some time. How would you model that in d6?

Since a lot of source books do show blaster bolts being 'packaged' energy, there obviously is some physical aspect to them...

Here's how I would handle it:
"Kylo, roll danger sense."
"Okay," *Kylo rolls* "I got a 17."
"Okay. You are being stot at from somewhere over there."
"Okay. I use my new, never-before-seen power to stop the bolt in mid air."
"Okay. Roll alter."
"Oh, and I want to spend a couple character points.... I got a 29."
"Okay, here's what happens..." |

| I would probably call it a new power making it a sense and alter power you can use to hold (parry) blaster bolts. |

TOTJC allows you to spend a FP to use a force power in a new and powerful way. So, he blew a FP for no good reason other than he could.
Alternatively, we can also go with a new force power built on Telekinesis. We've seen him grip a lot of people and hold them motionless. Why not just make a power called "Suspend" allowing you to hold a target motionless. Give it a high difficulty. Then say he used a FP to use Suspend in conjunction with Ab/Dis Energy.
