Anyone know what's up with SWAG the Star Wars Artists Guild?
The site has said "Down for maintenance" for just over 2 months now...
What gives?

Doesn't seem that way. That site has been open for 5+ years, Swag only recently went down it seems..

As a SWAG artist for about a decade or so...
I have no idea.
It was supposed to be temporary maintenance...but it's been going on a long time.
The Deviant Art version of SWAG I personally voted against. I thought it would dilute the actual SWAG site and make it less relevant.
I think history bears me out a bit there, but at least if the main site is down, deviant art is still there.
If anyone needs art off of it, there is always the WAYBACK machine.
For those who may not know, it's an archive of the internet. It periodically takes 'snapshots' of websites and stores them as-is.
https://archive.org/web/
Go there and then in the search bar you can enter:
www.swagonline.net
Then select year, month and date to see what SWAG had posted on that date.
Hopefully the site gets back up though. |
