It seems to me I remember reading a RAW about an option to "take the average" of a skill, assuming all dice rolled a '3' result, in place of rolling when the chance of failure is low on a routine task. However, I can't seem to find this function in the rules now that I'm looking for it.
Can anyone point me in the right direction? |

I wouldn't consider that RAW since reup is a fan made sourcebook. _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

There's also a rule from Mini6 which reduces pretty much everything to 3(xD-1D)+y+wild die... so if you have 5D you roll 1D+12 _________________ "I've Seen Your Daily Routine. You Are Not Busy!"

Sounds like it was inspired by "taking 10" in d20.
I'm not opposed to an idea like this, or even allowing characters with a certain amount of dice in a skill to forgo the roll altogether.
I might require Luke to roll TK for his lightsaber on Hoth, but I wouldn't require Obi-Wan to roll it to get the star map thingy in Ep2. |
