I've done exactly 4 fan-fics (not counting audio drama scripts, in my footer, and the piece released in Wild Space #1)- based on a podcast's suggestion for alternate Universe tales based on
A. Qui-gon surviving TPM
B. Han dying in the carbon-freezing process.

They're a few years old, but I thought they turned out fairly well at the time, save for the fact that they both ended more or less the same way. Apparently, I could only think of one way to solve... a certain dilemma. Smile

Qui-gon story:
Part 1
Part 2

No Han story:
Part 1
Part 2

Qui-Gon is the best character in all of Star Wars, IMHO.

I second this comment, lol. Qui-Gon movie anyone, tired of watching Liam Neeson do six of the same movie just with different supporting actors

Let me get in on this too. I love Qui-Gon, and Liam Neeson. But a Qui-Gon movie with Liam Neeson? The adventures of Qui-Gon's somehow aging Force ghost? Right now Liam Neeson is 18 years older than when he filmed TPM. Liam Neeson is now way too old to play Qui-Gon before he died in TPM. Or were you thinking apply digital age removal à la Legolas in the Hobbit films? No thanks.

If they were to do a Qui-Gon film, it would have to be a new younger actor like the possible Han Solo origin film would be. They could still have Liam Neeson involved in a young Qui-Gon film if the story was a flashback with a framing story of Qui-Gon's ghost telling it to Obi-Wan. Or if the rumor pans out of an Obi-Wan trilogy with Ewan McGregor taking place in between the prequel and classic trilogies, Liam Neeson could be involved in that as a ghost (voice only or appearance with digital age reduction to the ghost).

I don't think a Qui-Gon film is possible due to the fact that the wipper-snappers among Star Wars fans don't "like" him because he wasn't the ultimate hero of TPM.

I swear: Qui-Gon gets no love anywhere on the interwebz.

I know I'm in the minority, but I love Qui-Gon. But yeah, I think an Obi-Wan film taking place between Episodes III and IV is much more realistic.

Would it be ok for me to set up a thread here to post up the story of my ongoing campaign?

Your ongoing RPG campaign? I'd love to read that so please do post that. But that wouldn't be fan fiction. You can post that in Adventures.

As of now, the only way to post an image is to host iit on an image hosting site and then link to it using the tools for posting.

I PM'd Loc Taal to ask about direct image hosting (right off my computer), but its been a month or so and I haven't heard anything.

I'll need to try to figure out how to set up a webpage then because I use a lot of images from google for my games.

It's a shame too that pdfs can't be shared here because I could work around the image problem that way as well as providing other GMs with my documents which I write up fully before I run sessions.

If you have the pdf on line, you can always post a link to it, using the URL button on the far right above.

You can also change it up by using the following: Enter text here

Speaking for myself, simply setting up a Photobucket account has proven the easiest way to be able to post images here.

Cheers!

I'm going to get to work on a blog which I'll share in the adventures section in due course!

Thanks for the tips and advice!

Apologies to the OP, sorry this went horribly off-topic.
